And we seriously are almost done. … and I found playing this family with basically nothing to do incredibly boring, so you’ll have to bear with me as I race to finish this generation real fast in one post. I aged sims up when they had all their goals done, so there’s several early birthdays here, too.
First thing I do is invite Olivia over and finish that pesky Social aspiration. Of course, I forgot to get a picture.. but oh well.
Then, it’s time for Breanna to age up with her Top Notch Toddler trait.
.. What are you wearing? .. Oh, nevermind. Wear a bunny suit around the house in the daytime. Be weird. You do you!

Brent picks up the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration, because it’s the only one I can think of that’s appropriate while he’s working on a retail store.
And.. Maren is the first to come home with her level 10 career…
Well, technically second after Aiden.
Then, later, Brock finally maxes his.
.. I kept forgetting to have him “work hard”, so I wasn’t sure he was ever going to get there.
.. To be fair, she aged only a day and a half early. I’d already gotten the warning about her birthday.
Same with Brock.

Winterfest got in the way of them coming home with an “A” in school, but we paused to celebrate it anyway.
Not like anyone wanted to go outside in a blizzard, anyway.

But, then I realize Brent is literally two badges away from maxing scouting, so I have him get to work on his fitness…

We’re not doing too bad. The major thing left is promotions.. which just takes time. .. And then we get back to playing. I will apologize, however, this update is pretty short.. and boring. It was one of those “filler” weeks for my sims, so not much happened.
The little family. All together. Brock has the right idea, though. Naptime!

.. Maybe Brock should be up watching Brent while Aiden is otherwise occupied.
Brent is furiously skilling, I’m determined to get him Top Notch Toddler so his skills will be easier next generation. The retail goal is hard enough without making skilling tough, too.
.. So little Brent is making a disaster all over the house. For imagination’s sake.
And that last pesky movement skill…
Woohoo! And there’s still a whole day to go! Now I can work on little Breanna instead.
Another major milestone. (No.. not the freezer bunny hoarding a cupcake..)
.. Now all we need are more promotions!
.. Nothing interesting happened for a while…
So here’s Brent all grown up and working on his homework. I gave him the self-assured trait. Hopefully being confident will help him with sales? I really don’t know. But we’ll see.

More homework. Boy, my sims are being especially boring this week. Brent is working on the social aspiration first.. and he’s just running around meeting people.. which isn’t especially interesting. On a side note, however, I discovered that somehow I didn’t have aging on for unplayed sims in this save file. Weird. But that’s why I found all the starting kids still as kids. I switched it on, so I can see some new sims in a while.
Searching for his muse on the stylist board. He had to for work.
Thinking skill. And it’s Brock’s turn for parenting skills.
Working on the mental aspiration next, since the beginning of it is the hardest part of child aspirations. The social one is my least favorite, but it’s easy. It’s just annoying.
The annoying reading requirement.. it takes requeueing it so many times…
Breanna looks confused as to what her brother and dad are doing. It’s like she’s trying to understand the kid’s book.
Aiden goes on an upgrading spree for something to do. He’s got all his promotions and skills finished, so he’s just bored. Or maybe that’s me.
Breanna “sneaking” up on Brock, who’s browsing the forums in his spare time (on his own initiative.)
She’s adorable. I keep wondering if I ought to make her heir.. but the other part of me is stubborn to keep it Brent, since I had already decided.
I just can’t stop watching her. Love her so much! Plus, she’s more interesting than the rest of the family at the moment.
That moment when someone who doesn’t live there anymore shows up uninvited and takes out your trash.. then says she has to go. … I was so confused.
And this is to commemorate… nothing. It was supposed to be for Brent finishing his first aspiration – the social one – but Olivia left (literally, just disappeared) before I could get her all the way to friend status. Guess I have to wait for next week/update!

Bathing a dog in a dirty bathtub. Seems counter-intuitive. After this picture, I make Eva upgrade the plumbing with self-cleaning.
Cassidy.. you do realize that all you’re doing is blocking the adults from actually taking CARE of the screaming baby, right??

Looks like learning Mental skill is giving Cassidy a headache. LOL I relate.

She decided randomly to use this.. and got logic 9 all on her own.
It’s springfest.. so they’re gardening for the holiday I set up. They also go hunting for eggs and cleaning the house. There’s always plenty to clean up, even with the maid coming all the time, so that works out.
Chatting up Blarffy. He’s always good for the social skill.
Cole watching Cassidy helping out by mopping while Eva finishes up with a sink upgrade. Cassidy seems to clean a lot, strangely enough.
.. And poke at her sister, Brynlee. I realize just now that I STILL hadn’t introduced the baby.
And she’s now a toddler. Sigh. She’s pretty darn cute, though!
Who’s cuter.. the dogs? Or the toddler… tough choice.
And this is what I deal with constantly. Watching to stop the dog fights. Aggressive dogs are rather annoying.

Brynlee is a toddler of many emotions, but mostly grumpiness. Here she is complaining about learning her flash cards. Look closely, the eyes give away the mood. LOL.
Hey! Not on the dog! *dies laughing* Ok, so it totally looked like she was pouring paint on Hazley.
…And Hazley seemed to enjoy it? Also, why make a disaster if you’re just going to clean it up…?
Good doggy. Get that vampire! Our front door is dangerous.

Surgery.. check. Incidentally, it was actually a correct diagnoses. I really dislike this career.
We get home.. and find Branden on the monkey bars.
… Only to have him give up and go to make a disaster.

I bought Alan a woodworking bench because he’s pretty much stuck on handiness. nothing he can upgrade needs upgrading.. and the things that need upgrading… he’s half a skill bar away from being able to upgrade. So… handiness bench. He proceeds to make a bunch of statues while the kids are at school and Ashley is at work. (Alan had a day off)
Homework party! And.. that’s level ten parenting for Alan. It’s amazing the amount of skill you get from raising twins.
You can’t tell, but the kids are apparently arguing. I keep seeing – for conflict resolution above them. Ashley, of course, doesn’t see the need to intervene and just stands there watching them.
I finally figure out how to get ISBI kids to do their school projects.. Problem being.. they don’t KEEP working on them. which annoys the heck out of me.

So much for a clean back yard. Thanks, Branden.
Alan comes home with that promotion.. and a tummy ache. Notice: it’s been two days and that project is still being worked on.
See? She’d rather socialize than work on the project. Spoiler: I do get her to finish it, but I give up on getting the other two kids through them.
House call at work. In San Myshuno. Annoying, one of the patients wouldn’t get off the game machine and I couldn’t select him. Finally, I had to make him a drink at the bar to get him to get off the machine. What a pain.
Trying to get Brittney her skills so she can start working on her “A” in school B’s are just not good enough. I need more points!
Yep, Alan got his handiness to level 7 and is now upgrading the kitchen.
More skilling for Brittney. I have to keep her here most the evening, but she finally gets Mental level 4.
Ashley.. why are you up in the middle of the night talking to Maeve? I mean, it’s cute and all.. but .. you need sleep.

Alan needed to deliver a baby.. and as luck has it, the day after that task popped up.. Nalani (mermaid) shows up ready to pop.

There you go. I don’t get to find out the name of the little tyke, because it disappears almost immediately, but still. Successful delivery.
At some point during the work day, I notice Branden has gotten an A in school. +5!
.. And Becca comes home with one thanks to her project. +5 again!

…We don’t need more pregnant sims. But they show up anyway. And I’m a sucker for a cute new baby, so we have to help her out. I do question her fashion choices a bit, though..
We get home.. and it’s Branden’s birthday.. so we wake him up and make him a cake.
.. Well, didn’t you grow up nicely!!
.. We use his free action as a teen to get him his career.. and then let him wander around the house for the rest of the night. Morning brings us our time to stop.. (And yes, somehow I was too busy to celebrate Love Day.. Sorry Ashley and Alan!).

And two.. he’s made it to level 10. Although I immediately got confused because level 10 has more “promotion” requirements..?? I had to look it up to make sure there wasn’t a level 11 like the Secret Agent – Villain job. Spoiler: there isn’t. So I don’t know why there are more requirements..

Brent’s skills are coming right along. He’s already going to be a “Happy Toddler” but I kinda want to get to Top Notch again. We’ll have to see if it happens.
Welcome Breanna to the household! Another lucky adoptee. I say lucky, because this household has some 350k in reserve… so she’ll be well taken care of!

Unfortunately, by the end of the meal, not only did Brock need to pee… he also got food poisoning.

And then, just before the week ends..
.. Angelina rolls for her trait and career.. gets a job.. and moves in with her older sister.
We got lots done this time.. I think the only major things we have left is getting Maren and Brock to level 10 of their career (and Brock needs to finish his aspiration). I haven’t decided which one of the kids will be heir yet.. but I did roll for the goals for next generation, because I couldn’t stand the suspense anymore.. And I managed to get one I was dreading. #16 – the retail one. I rolled for the second – #26 – comedian.. but I don’t know if I’ll be able to do that on the spouse while working on that retail store. I haven’t done much with retail stores in Sims 4 – so that’ll be a huge adventure. Not sure I’m looking forward to it!

… To a grump, apparently. It’s clearly past someone’s bedtime. But I DID get Top Notch Toddler for Cassidy. Maxed all her skills. Barely, but we did.
And on that note.. Everyone heads to bed. I stopped a day late.. but since we started three days late, I figured I was okay to go until the birthday. (And Hazley getting home. Which she did… thank goodness.. because my game always bugs out if I save and exit when a dog is “running away”). See you next time!

Between having Brock cooking non stop and running Aiden around looking for charity donations, I managed to get a gold. On my first ever Charity Party… lol nice!
With everyone at least level 7 in their career, we decide it’s about that time.. and we adopt our heir. Meet Brent. This is the baby my son picked from the list of five of them possible. 😉

Breakfast time. Brock is sleeping in.

The late sleeper is finally up. And making food … again.
She loves this thing. I keep telling her to work on her motor skill on the computer, and I keep finding her here. Finally had to leave the art project on the table so she wouldn’t gravitate towards the activity table.
Working on Handiness again. I’m still convinced I’m going to get that all channels watched/listened to achievement.

Maren… why do you insist on cooking in the rain?? When there’s tons of food in the fridge!?
She got her promotion, so here she is, hiring her agent. More money, yay!
It’s monday.. so since Angelina’s an orphan now, Aiden is stepping in to play the parent role.

Eating the cake. For a change, I let everyone have one slice. I usually throw cake out, because it makes sims fat.

Aiden starts upgrading fireproof on all the fireplaces. Just to be safe.
Brock is still cooking….
… But at least it paid off.
Cleaning up after the party. It was noteworthy that the maid was actually DOING something instead of swimming.. lol.. so I took a picture.
A formal wedding. Because why not. They’re such a cute couple.

Aiden works on his friend tally for his aspiration while the guests mill about. He’s at around 15/20 friends.

Harvestfest was largely uneventful. Everyone was busy with their own goals.
This made me hungry.. lol. It looks so tasty!
Maren!! I KNEW you cooking outside was a bad idea.

She’s so pretty. Aiden is obviously the ugly duckling of the family.. but I love him anyway.
Aiden giving his first makeover. I ended up not changing much except for her hot and cold weather outfits, but hey, it’s his first makeover!
Maren winding down after a long week.. and I guess Angelina’s “winding up”? Whatever she’s doing, it’s the end of the week.. and we got quite a bit done. Lots of promotions.

Second update for today and my townie rotation… which is kinda weird, but that’s ok.
This is the first time I’ve ever had two “Bro”s in the same house.. so the Bro interactions are completely new to me. Kinda cute.
Getting jobs. As I said in the intro, Chuck gets an athletic career, Maya gets a Business one.
The house gets a bit of an upgrade. Moved the dining room/upgraded it, bought a TV, computer, and workout bench.. and changed the spare room to a nursery.
Maya tries out the new dining room.
While Chuck puts his new workout machine to use.
For a change, I allow the welcome party to happen, and this begins Gladys’ calling to ask Chuck on date after date. Very weird.
I have the hardest time getting these two together. I finally had to get both of them flirty by other means and get rid of their embarrassed moodlets via mirrors before they would finally be romantic. Which is strange, because by traits alone they should get along famously.
First kiss!
And.. trying for baby.
First day of work. Maya apparently slept in and has to pee.. good thing they’ll go while at work.
Baby bump alert! Chuck even seems to be excited about it, too.
Next day.. same old thing. She’s filling out reports, he’s working out. At least they can chat while doing it!
Maya needs a midnight snack. Pregnancy cravings and such. LOL.
I forgot she was going to need Logic.. so I add a chess table for them.
Chuck needs Charisma, so he’s talking to himself.
Harvestfest.. Chuck fails at gnome-appeasing.
.. While Maya succeeds.
I send Chuck to the Gym for his aspiration, and get the next milestone done while I’m there.
Baby time! Chuck is, apparently, unfazed, and keeps eating dinner like nothing’s happening in the next room.

I decide it’s past time to get these two hitched, so I have them get all flirty and she proposes… success!
Snow… ??? In Oasis Springs? Maya looks as baffled as I am.
Maya gets back to working on Logic while the baby is asleep. These next couple of days pass really quickly, and apparently uneventfully, because I didn’t take any pictures..
Well, at least she’s Angelic. Lucky Chuck and Maya. She’s cute, though. I did have to change her hair, though, because the one she had did not look right for a Carina.
Carina.. why are you sad…? She has a “missing parents” moodlet and she’s being held…. because Sims Logic.
The house upgrade for the toddler…

Welcome back to my townie rotation. I’m doing two updates today, because this family’s week went by really fast with very few pictures… so I did two families’ weeks in a row.
Chet getting his job in the Culinary.. Gladys does too, but they have different aspirations. Spoiler: Neither will get there.
Chet helping out around the house while Gladys gets to work on cooking.
And this is what these guys keep doing. Boring.
Chet complaining about the rain. C’mon, guys, I tried to get you something else to do at the Flea Market. Not my fault it was raining!
Soggy Bubbles. Neither were impressed.
This.. and cooking.. is what the rest of the week looks like. I decided early on not to get these two together, and I turned the kid’s bedroom into another bedroom for Chet.. so there’s no “getting to know you” photos.
I finally get bored enough to take them out to a bar to meet new people… and Chet is all smiles.. because apparently it’s Ladies’ Night.
Gladys meets and woos another elder.. the only guy at the bar that night other than Chet and her. But because they’re elders, they both get tired pretty easily and the night ends mostly uneventfully.
Chet working on his aspiration to meet people. None of them look particularly happy to meet poor Chet, though. .. Aaand.. that’s it for the week. They pretty much skipped the holidays, because neither of them were into the traditions.. and they just worked and skilled. Hence the lack of pictures.
