House 009 Chapter 7 < | > House 010 Chapter 2
First, we need to see what our new goals are:
House 010 Building Goals: 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom home worth at least $50k Simoleons *Include a pool and a designated personal workout area House 010 Generational Goals: Max Wellness Skill Max Gourmet Cooking Skill Eat "healthy" for the whole generation Raise the heir to Young Adult age
… Doesn’t seem too bad.
Then, Cassidy gets her makeover.
I did change her hair to be more with the healthy, fit theme. And all her clothes were changed. She also had grey eyebrows.. and it was annoying me, so I changed them to match. She’s gorgeous!
Then, we check on her inventory, sell everything, get rid of our money.. and check her stats panels.
Lastly, I roll for lot traits.
And.. with that.. we’re ready to play!
Since this is the second house in this neighborhood, things are up to harvest, which is a big help.
After harvesting, we have enough for the all-important toilet.
We find mom walking around, and she cheers on our house 10 attempts.
… Then shortly after she leaves, I get this notice. Darn. RIP Eva!
I finally decide to get Cassidy a job. I picked Military because she can work on fitness and work from home. Seems like something she’d be into.
Her first job task: go jogging. So we get that done.
Her lot contents as she heads to her first day at work. She’s not doing too bad.
Working on wellness. Going to be spending a lot of time doing this in this house. Meanwhile, I’ve been watching for Young Adult males… unsuccessfully, I might add. And starting to get a little worried I’ll have to go with an adult.
Then.. I spot two of them, at the same time. We meet both, and get started on finding out their traits. One leaves, but it’s the other I’m more interested in, anyway.
His name is Keon, and he’s got pretty good traits.. so we start the romance train.
Success!
… And yay for a full “fun” bar. Thanks, Keon!
So far, we’ve been feasting on strawberries for food.
After she heads to work, Keon wakes up and I finally get a good look at him without his hat. He’s cute!
After work, Cassidy meets up with Dad. I find it funny that I was so worried about him dying before finishing his career, and he’s now lived past his wife.
The proposal….
… is a success! So, Meet Keon Gale!
See? I told you. Perfect traits. He’s a vegetarian, too!
He’s apparently born in game, which is kinda cool. Here’s his family.
And he’s older than us, but that’s okay.
Working on fitness for work.
We have to buy a cooler for Keon, since feeding him strawberries is out.
Shortly after, I’m able to afford a kitchen of sorts and start working on her cooking skill for the house goals.
Keon finds the yoga mat.
… He seems to like it.
We get invited to the spice festival, and I take advantage of it to harvest and sell the produce from there. I keep waffling about starting a garden, but I think I’ve finally decided not to.
Such a cute screenie of them at the festival. I love this couple!
Selling all the stuff from collection runs, plus our promotions, and we have the beginnings of a living room. Both immediately start with the book reading/leaving books everywhere, which will annoy me, but I’ll deal with it.
Keon apparently decides he wants to work out in the middle of the night.
And with that, our first week is over. See you next post!
House 009 Chapter 7 < | > House 010 Chapter 2
Back to Chapter 3.1 | On to Chapter 3.3
First, we check on our goals…
Set #16 – Retail Mogul (Get to Work) - Brock Ireland (heir) Own a Retail Store worth at least 100,000 Simoleons Have 3 top level employees Have All Retail Perks Set #26 – Comedian - Brynn Myles (spouse) Get to Level 10 in the Entertainer Career (Comedian) Master the Charisma Skill Master the Comedy Skill Complete the Joke Star Aspiration Have 10 Perfect Comedy Routines Have 3 Perfect Long Comedy Routines Perform a Perfect Comedy Routine at a Gold Level Party 2 Times
And then I dive back into play. But before I start this post, I have to apologize. There’s not a lot of pictures for the amount of time played. Simmies were being boring, so I just kept playing until things got more interesting. Basically, there was a LOT of going to the retail store and working on getting perk points, when I was “home” I was working on getting Brent’s needs up and Brynn’s skilling for work. Not very interesting.
I load the game up.. and Aiden dies. Literally. Right away. Sigh. Well, I did say he was next.
Grim is unimpressed by the tears, and Aiden is whisked to the next life.
Hollie is our first employee…
And now she has two of three skills maxed, and is promoted to max.
Brynn working on her comedy routines. She’s level six in her career now.
And since they’re near aging up, I figure it’s about that time.
…That time to try raising a kid while working on retail and career.
Oh yeah, it’s harvest fest too.
The new “electronics room” .. it really ups the profit ratio, but perk points are still very slow in coming.
One of the rare moments they’re actually eating at the same time.
It’s time!
Meet Claire Ireland. Time will tell what genetics she got other than the dark skin.
Our second employee decides it’s time to die. At the store. During business hours. Sigh.
Poor girl. Some people look suitably shocked.. Everyone else just keeps shopping.
Wait. She was an alien?? .. Who knew?
Our new second employee maxes her first skill, maintenance, and gets a promotion.
Ooops. I forgot Brynn’s adult birthday.
… And Brent’s. Whoops.
Oh my gosh. She’s adorable! She ages up rolling the Wild trait.
Winterfest. Nobody gets anything particularly interesting.
Then Brynn gets this pop-up. Top of the career? Really? Sign me up!
And there’s our little wild one!
The next time I send Brent to “work”, I finish the store. Here’s the “final” value and some pictures.
As you can see, I added a “back room” and an upstairs place for food. Apparently I missed putting some columns on the outside of the building, but I’ll fix that next time I load the game.
Through playing, I’ve found the the challenge goals had to be changed for feasibility. They now read: (also crossed out what we’ve done)
Set #16 – Retail Mogul (Get to Work) - Brock Ireland (heir)Own a Retail Store worth at least 100,000 SimoleonsHave 3 top level employees Have Spent 15,000 points on Retail Perks Set #26 – Comedian - Brynn Myles (spouse)Get to Level 10 in the Entertainer Career (Comedian)Master the Charisma Skill Master the Comedy Skill (9/10) Complete the Joke Star Aspiration Have 10 Excellent Comedy Routines (9/10)Have 3 Excellent Long Comedy RoutinesPerform a Excellent Comedy Routine at a Gold Level Party 2 Times

Rules/Chapter List | Chapter 2
First off, the 100 baby challenge is one I’ve studiously avoided because it sounded like my worst nightmare. And yet, here I am. I had this idea to do an alien world, because I hardly ever play with aliens or the weird skin tones.. and I figured it was about time. So I spent DAYS researching the idea, putting together an alien – looking world for both Oasis Springs and Newcrest.. and setting up a rule set. However, I still didn’t even know whether what I wanted to do was even possible. But I had a great name for the project, and I was determined. So.. I let it sit for a while, and kept saying “I’ll get to it”.. and then I finally got brave enough to try. … And try.. And try.. and I could NOT get my alien male pregnant. After hours of loading and reloading a game, I finally gave up, near tears that my grand idea wasn’t going to pay off.
After letting myself “cool off” for a couple days, I decided to try it with a non-alien. And reloaded and loaded for quite a while.. still horribly frustrated. Then, just by CHANCE.. I happened to notice him complain about nooboos and have a glowy belly. And I realized my mistake. I was thinking he’d get a moodlet to confirm fairly early on… which is completely not the case. It takes 24 hours for a moodlet to show up. So I was reloading too soon.. and by not actually watching my sim closely, I had probably reloaded on a pregnant sim countless times.
Through all the frustration, I had meant to take pictures.. but it turned out I took very few. So we start out by 1, meeting our first “matriarch”.. and then seeing him pregnant. So, forgive the lack of pics.. but with all the loading – reloading mess, they just didn’t happen. Anyway. Meet Malakai Lucky.
He was made through a create a sim story, hence the sort of weird traits for a writer. He’s also not getting a job, because I found freelance writer career annoyed me. So he’s just going to write. At home.. all by his lonesome. He started out with above average funds, and with the ruleset I “created” (read: combined), he gets a 50,000 payment for his services, plus a 1,000 simoleon weekly stipend. So he was able to afford the “spaceship” home in the picture.. minus furniture. I bought what little furniture I could, and cheated to get the science satellite (since I’m doing this mod-less).. and got started. If you’re curious, the original house that it was built on is by Anchesenamon and is on the gallery, along with her entire Oasis Springs alien world that I downloaded. The Newcrest lots are mostly cobbled together futuristic lots, and a few venues I edited or put together to “fill out” the world. Whether I use all of them, is yet to be seen. I have intentions of playing the kids “rotation-style” when they move out, but we’ll see. Oh, and one final note: I do use loading and reloading to make sure he’s pregnant when I do his abductions, but I will not use it for cheating to avoid bad things happening. I figure it’s usually a one-try thing for female sims to get pregnant, so it makes sense for me to make it the same for him. Without the woohooing and wooing the “donors”, though, his fun need (& social) is perpetually tanked at the beginning, but that’s another story.
Oh yeah, and here’s the lot traits I’m using:
Anyway, my first action.. is to set off the satellite once an evening so his chance for abduction is at the “max”.
And here’s the glowy tummy. First picture is after the moodlet arrived, so he’s got a preggo belly, but I wanted to make absolutely SURE he was pregnant before starting to blog. At this point, I’m having a TERRIBLE time keeping his moods up and getting a lot of writing/gardening done to get a base of money started. His social and fun needs are always in the red, so he’s pretty miserable most the time.
And.. it’s D-Day. I’m thoroughly intrigued by the cool light animations on the floor while he’s giving birth.
Twins! Meet Ariel and Allie. And here’s where the fun begins.. and his social need finally is okay.. but now he’s completely exhausted all the time because he’s in a cheap bed.
Did I start the next pregnancy too soon?? .. Probably. But I did it anyway. Hindsight is 20/20 and all that.
In preparation for the toddlers to come, I buy him a mini kitchen. With what little funds we have.
And this is how he gets his sleep. Because by the time he gets to bed, one of them is crying again. Poor Malakai. He’s probably not feeling very “Lucky” anymore! (Yes, 80% of the twins’ first days were thunderstorms. I quickly discover that the house as it is is NOT going to work. It needs a roof.)
And here they are “grown up”. The little chubby aliens are SO adorable, and I’m immediately hooked.. which is why I got so very annoyed at the fact that every time I went to save, my game would completely crash. After four or five times of this in the space of a couple hours, and having to perpetually replay the same time and re-age the kids up…. I finally googled what was going on, and found a “solution”.. backing up completely and resetting to factory defaults for the game. SIGH. So.. I did that. And luckily, half an hour later.. it worked. No more crashing.
And… it’s that time again.
Yay! Twins again!.. and a second alien bassinet.. Finally.
Also of note.. I finally was able to afford him an appropriate bed. It seemed alien-ish enough. *grin* .. oh, and meet Brielle and Bridget. At about this time, I also rebuilt the house to add a roof and make sure all stairs except for the “yard” ones are indoor. I got tired of the “run inside” moodlet/action all the time.
So.. I ended up with FIVE DAYS of having four toddlers due to my poor planning. !!!! .. I was clearly not thinking. Somehow, I got into a rhythm, though, and got things going more or less smoothly.
Malakai: “Please… be quiet… for two seconds??”
Aliens: “HEHEHEHE” .. Nope.
And here’s what happened to the garden. It died. Miserably. So I sell it.
The first set of twins grow up.. and this is pre-disguise.
#1… And Meet Ariel.
All kids traits and aspirations are rolled randomly.
Here’s a sad #2.. Meet Allie.
She has a thing for hats, apparently. (Oh yeah, I’m leaving their disguises alone. No makeovers except for removing some sunglasses here and there.)
Finally.. a place for everyone to eat. What an adorable family. I apologize for the lack of “growing up” pictures, but I was running around chasing toddlers like a chicken with no head, so pictures completely left my brain. I’ll try to do better in coming posts.
The second set of twins grow up. Baby #3.. Meet Brielle.
Such a cute disguise. I didn’t get a good picture of it, but these twins got pointy ears (the first set didn’t) when they’re out of disguise.
And a very annoyed baby #4.. Meet Bridget.
Still no possible heir.. but we have plenty of time. (Heir must be male.. and that’s when we’ll find out if aliens get pregnant from abductions, too….)
Happy Winterfest! We strike out on presents.. nothing that’s worth anything for anyone. But they do get some new toys.
… While Malakai is putting away the new toys.. I see the telltale glow.. here we go again!!
Rules/Chapter List | Chapter 2
**ON HIATUS**
Because I’m me… I couldn’t stand doing a 100 baby challenge without making it more difficult on myself. (laughs) So, to make things.. More.. interesting?.. I changed it up. Instead of a “Matriarch”, I made a male sim. And he has to get abducted to get pregnant. So all the babies are aliens. And they live in what looks a bit like a spaceship. Which is fun. Only – the challenge still seems SUPER boring and repetitive to me. So it’s going to be a struggle to get through. Expect this to take a while.
(more…)Welcome back to the madhouse! We are currently at -35 points with aspirations uncounted. I’ll rectify that at the end of this post.
We start with Jaxson growing up! So, finally, we’re down to only two toddlers. He got the Happy Toddler trait, which is +5 points, and maxed the potty skill, communication, and movement. So +15 for those. Grows up with the Genius trait rolled in.
.. Still working on those books.
… Or.. well, we were. Little Tyson looks concerned for Dad.
But not for long. -5
Ahh… life in an ISBI. Broken sink, stinky toddler.. gotta pee… always something to be done. Here we are trying to get Coty to max his potty skill.
Work required some paintings.. and this picture is how I noticed that I didn’t remember to put the stilt foundation in on the addition.
Sleeping with my Gnomies?? (Yup, it’s Harvestfest.)
.. I just realized this post is just a bunch of fails. With very little else. I apologize! – 5.
I swear, he does something other than fail. See.. he made that dinner.. and the toddler’s eating.. and the other one is in bed… Jesse just didn’t make it there himself. – 5.
Drinking potion #2. He doesn’t look like he enjoys it.
Coty looks on as Dad passes out yet again. Jaxson is being awesome and cleaning up.. and it looks like Fetia is literally just standing around. Thanks, hun. -5.
Coty All grown up. He also got Happy toddler and three skills maxed, I just don’t remember which ones other than the Potty skill. +20! There’s no cake picture.. because, well, with Jesse passing out all the time, I never got to the cake… Sorry, kiddo. Rolls Perfectionist.
Tyson grows up.. and is Blonde??? He maxed two skills and got Happy toddler. so +15 from him. Note: puddle is from broken fridge. He rolls the Glutton trait.
I was trying to wait for an Arts Quarter performer in a snow storm.. but Jesse had other ideas. We did finally find one. But Had the one fail to show for it.
Finishing up the dates for the Soulmate aspiration.. and in the middle of a date, Fetia passes out. Way to go, watcher. (Me) I forgot to watch her needs. Kinda cute that the rest of the family is in the picture, too.
Decorating the tree for Winterfest. All the kids are helping. Fetia should be, too.. but instead she’s busy stealing Jaxson’s bed.
Sigh. Here we go again. -5.
Banked a new potion.
.. and a third..
.. And we end up with four saved up.
And.. time to add things up! That’s -40 just from passing out. Sigh. But at least we got +55 from the kids aging up. Also, +10 for finishing the Soul Mate aspiration. Going through and counting up his milestones from all his aspirations, he’s got 9 of them complete (not counting the last one on Soul Mate). – Milestones are as follows : the first two for painter, the first two for writer, The first one for Serial Romantic, the first three for soulmate, and the first one for Angling Ace. All of that puts us in the positive. Woohoo!

Since I forgot to put the points earned on the last post, I’ll note for posterity that I’m currently at +5 points, for the single birth. I completely forgot to count the milestones that Jesse has gotten to, so I will count them up at the end of this play session’s posts (I played two updates worth). I will note when I’m counting them up in the next post. Oh, and the title pic is a duplicate picture.. just to show you what I dealt with this whole update. A preview of coming attractions, if you will.
Anyway. Here we go!
We start out with a sweet moment between Jesse and Fetia. I do most of their dates at home so I don’t have to leave the munchkin with a sitter.
And.. since we need two kids for an ISBI.. we try for baby again.
Success! Jesse is, apparently, too busy to care.
.. Or maybe just too tired. -5
Banked another potion!
The toilet wasn’t broken… so why the accident, Fetia? Thanks for the -5.
Clean toddler! Jaxson is just so cute, I can’t get over it.
See? NOW the toilet is broken. And no accidents.
Another food-bringing party.
Baby time!
Ohhh… no. *facepalm* .. REALLY!?!?! Twins! +10! Meet Coty and Tyson (both boys).. and no, I don’t know which one is which.
Painting an emotional painting while waiting for a performer to review for a work at home task in the art district.
Banked another one! (Also, I apparently had to have him drink one and didn’t take a picture.)
… -5 thanks to the twins.
Jaxson.. where are you going, son?
Working on some good books for the aspiration.
Awww… look they’re all sleeping together. -5.
-5 …. and here’s where I decided that the twins absolutely could not be in the same room as poor Jaxson while he’s trying to sleep.
.. So we spend what little money we have on a new room.
Fetia.. why are you eating spoiled food and smiling about it? Just.. eww.
This one’s Coty. He rolls Charmer..
And this one’s Tyson. .. Who also rolls Charmer. Could be worse.
.. And that’s dad, down for the count again. -5.
Poor Jax. At least he’s not sleeping in the mess. -5 again.
… I’m really having trouble here. I should have planned the pregnancy better! Three toddlers at once is.. well.. as much of a nightmare as you’d think.
I was just about to take a picture because all of them were sleeping at once. I spoke slightly too soon. Sigh.
Tyson gazing curiously at dear old Dad. Wondering if this means he’ll get a bath when Jesse wakes up.
Spoiler: he does. Eventually.
And.. this is as good a stopping spot as any!

Some family time.
Getting Branden to his level 3 skill for an A.
Look who’s an elder?
And who then stole a piece of cake before I could trash it. Naughty Sim.
Ashlie is still such a good mom. Here she is helping with homework on her own.
Alan autonomously playing with Brittney.
Maeve is haunting. And breaking everything. Fun.
Alan’s first outbreak work event.
All fixed! Time to go back to work.
Got this notice while at work.
Alan finishing up a surgery. I’m still having trouble with the last tier promotion – getting 5 correct diagnoses – but I think from what some friends have said it’s because his logic skill isn’t high enough for good cures.
Hi again Dominic!
Ashlie having some fun after work.
Helping with homework when I can.
The first critically ill patient shows up.
And Our second “A” .. that’s +10 points for today.
Oops. I forgot Brittney’s birthday.. or, well she aged before I could cake her.
She takes her teen career.. and an interesting trait set.
Becca makes it to the cake.
Both twins are gorgeous.
… So two hot heads and an Evil sim. *facepalm* what a generation.
Getting Brittney’s skills up for school.
Branden decides he wants to cook. Please don’t start a fire. Spoiler: he doesn’t.
A pretty good week.. if uneventful. One week left to play until I put up an heir poll… so, see you next post. Also… Alan should get his last promotion the next week. And his birthday to elder.. so I may simply retire him. They have plenty of funds.
Our points. +10 for grades. Yay!

House 009 Chapter 6 < | > House 010 Chapter 1
Checking on our goals:
House 009 Building Goals:Build a disguised underground lair with no ground floor walls(I think I can consider this complete) House 009 Generational Goals: Level 10 Diamond Agent branch of the Secret Agent career on The Drifter Level 11 of the Villain branch of the Secret Agent Career on The Secondary SimAt Level 4 Field Agent, add a Gym to Burners and Builders in Oasis SpringsRaise the heir to Young Adult age (must take Vegetarian trait)
Welcome back! I play most of this on speed three… because the only things left are career promotions, skilling, and watching the kids grow. So not many pics were taken over the three weeks of sim time, and I’m going to squash it all into one post. That being said, this was a hairy ride here at the end. I BARELY made it, as you’ll see. I thought it was going to be my first house fail. And I was NOT looking forward to re-doing it!
Also, when I loaded this up… I realized I never rolled for lot traits. >,< … oops. So here they are.
And now.. here’s how the end went down…
To help with Karson’s athletic skill, we take all but the toddler to the Gym. Eva and Cassidy enjoy swimming together in the pool.
… While Karson works his tail-end off up here.
Cassidy.. how dare you!
Um.. Eva.. Brynlee’s looking upset. Maybe you should put her down??
Jack comes back to haunt fairly regularly. Luckily the worst he does is startle people and eat the alive-dogs’ food.
Hazley turns elder while her son, Cole, looks on.
And Karson ages up to elder. Seems very early. And I only got him to level 7 (almost 8) fitness for his aspiration.. now what.. I also realize he’s only on level 8 of his career, and needs to get to level 11!!! So he NEEDS to finish that physical aspiration to have even a chance to live long enough to finish his career. And not much of a chance. All those times I forgot to put him on “hard work” really hurt me in the long run.
Eva’s sisters start dying, one by one. So she’s perpetually sad for a while.
Good dog, Cole!
I’m not sure who’s having more fun with this play session, but it looks like it’s Karson… not the toddler.
Hazley ends up being sick. So off to the vet again.
Brynlee looks very confused about what her mother’s doing. I am, too….
What’s this mean?
One goal done!! Eva’s at max career now.
Cole runs away. Spoiler: he comes back.
Just in time to be an elder doggie.
It’s that time!
Rolled randomly. Per the rules, I’ll take the vegetarian trait at the YA birthday.
Oh, and Karson is in his swimsuit because I sent him to Sulani beaches to swim his rear end off. With moodlet solvers to get rid of the pulled muscles along the way, he got to level ten fitness.. (over the course of 2-3 days) and therefore long life. It’s the most I can do for him. He’s also got all his skills completed for all the promotions.. and he does his daily task every day. But I’m still afraid he won’t make it.
Yes, Eva, your eldest is a teenager. Don’t know what she’s actually bugging out about.. but that seems a likely thing to be worried about.. 🙂
Everyone is at work/school when Hazley crosses the Rainbow Bridge. Even Cole misses it because he was sleeping.
Our little graveyard.
Cole’s turn at the vet.
I pushed her too hard on getting skills for an “A”…. poor Cassidy. Brynlee seems to be reveling in his discomfort, even though I know she’s not an evil sim.
Hey, guys… look who’s still around!?!! HAHAHA!
Yeah! Go, Cole!
Eva.. that was supposed to be your birthday cake. *takes cake away* Bad sim.
… And that’s the second attempt. Now Eva’s looking annoyed. But she didn’t try to eat it this time….
… Cassidy did. *takes cake away*. AGAIN.
Oh, yeah, friendly reminder today is also harvestfest. Karson goes to work anyway because he needs those promotions.
I figured maybe it was the white cake jynxing me. So I baked a chocolate cake. Success.
The maid looks inordinately happy about Eva’s birthday. It’s not like they EVER talk…. and: Spoiler: that maid gets stuck in “celebrate” mode.. and has to eventually be reset.
See? Stuck maid.
Cole loves trash, and I hardly ever SEE him in it, so I never get him trained away from it. So he gets a lot of baths.
Family homework party. I tend to take photos when everyone’s in one spot, because it happens so rarely.
Like this one. Everyone decided to get leftovers at the same time. … And then actually all sat down to eat.
We lose our final pupper. 🙁 Although I won’t miss cleaning up the hair piles and poo everywhere!!
Karson is very sad.
Winterfest gifts. Brynlee’s looking evil in this picture because she decided to prank the gifts with everyone standing around the tree… needless to say, she got embarrassed because she got caught. Obviously!
A Winter cake for a winterfest birthday.
Brynlee’s traits and aspiration were rolled randomly. Although they did have to be re rolled once due to rolling a vampire wish. LOL. Just NO.
She looks unimpressed.
And… it’s Sunday. Cassidy ages up on Monday (and monday is a day off work for the agents, anyway)… and that checkmark for promotion showed up literally 30 sim-minutes from the end of work. Talk about cutting it close!!
However.. that’s all but Cassidy’s aging up party.
.. Which is the next day. I let her get her needs up and then cancel her out of going to school to age her up on the ready cake.
Here’s what she ended up with trait-wise. Who knows what she’ll be doing in the next house.. but hopefully the quick learner trait will help her!
House 009 Building Goals:Build a disguised underground lair with no ground floor walls(I think I can consider this complete) House 009 Generational Goals:Level 10 Diamond Agent branch of the Secret Agent career on The DrifterLevel 11 of the Villain branch of the Secret Agent Career on The Secondary SimAt Level 4 Field Agent, add a Gym to Burners and Builders in Oasis SpringsRaise the heir to Young Adult age (must take Vegetarian trait)
House complete!! … oh, and…. Just in case you’re curious, here’s final skills, traits, jobs, and the house/funds.
Karson:

(Yep, I know they have mail!) Anyway.. see you in House 10!

First, we check on our goals… Again, I rolled randomly for them.. and by what I got.. I’m wishing I hadn’t. LOL.
Set #16 – Retail Mogul (Get to Work) - Brent Ireland (heir) Own a Retail Store worth at least 100,000 simoleons Have 3 top level employees Have All Retail Perks Set #26 – Comedian - Brynn Myles (spouse-to-be) Get to Level 10 in the Entertainer Career (Comedian) Master the Charisma Skill Master the Comedy Skill Complete the Joke Star Aspiration Have 10 Perfect Comedy Routines Have 3 Perfect Long Comedy Routines Perform a Perfect Comedy Routine at a Gold Level Party 2 Times
Our first task, after checking the goals.. is to make our second sim. In the hopes that said sim has time to do anything with us working on the retail career. So.. Meet Brynn.
Next task: give Brent a makeover. He’s going to be a business man, after all. Hoodie and ripped jeans just don’t cut it anymore.
Third: we load the house to one bed missing. As in, one sim doesn’t have a place to sleep. Namely Brynn. And Brock probably doesn’t want the kiddie bedroom. So things have got to be changed.
I changed the master bedroom upstairs to be used for Brent..
And built an entire downstairs with a guest suite for Brock and Aiden.
Then I started playing. Finally.
Brynn gets her job…
.. They all sit down to breakfast… I got to buy the retail lot… and then everything goes wrong.
Now, to make a long story short.. things didn’t work out as planned, and I noticed that most of our money had mysteriously disappeared. I *think* it bugged when I added a sim to the family, but I can’t be sure. So, I saved a backup of the save, saved the family to my library to make sure I didn’t “lose” Brynn.. and recovered the save to the last time before I started all this new stuff. Money still there. Okayyy… so I added the family from the bin to a lot, moved Brynn over to the one with the money.. and yep. money still there. Deleted the bin family, and .. then realized I still had to fix the house and re-do Brent’s makeover. (As I’m typing this, I kept having to change Brent’s name, because for some reason I was calling him Brock.. wtg Thrall.) So.. I got lazy on the house. And this is what I did.
Stuck Brynn’s bed in the hallway of collections..
.. And upgraded Brent’s kid room to a “master” bedroom for him. And eventually, Brynn.
Then.. Brent’s makeover. Luckily I hadn’t changed a huge amount, and I remembered most of the clothes I had picked out.. so it went pretty smoothly.. and I didn’t have to take a new picture.
So.. let’s try this again.
Family breakfast again.
Our first customer. I plopped an EA Get to Work room down, and eventually edited a bit to get the “store”.. it’ll grow as we get funds to do it.
Took Brynn out to dinner.. it looks a little awkward to start with.
But pretty soon they’re really getting along..
.. and I mean really. =)
The store gets a bathroom.. because.. well.. I forgot about one earlier.
Here’s what the outside of the store looks like.
Shelves get dirty. Who knew?
Here’s our first employee, Hollie.
… who is learning skills quickly!
Breanna got her “A” today.. so it’s time for her to see the world.
She moves in with her aunties.
I finally get around to getting Brynn and Brent Hitched.
Aiden: *side eye of disapproval* “You should have had a wedding party!!”
Yep. I should have.
But that was too much like work.
And there were skills that needed working on. That trophy on the coffee table, by the way, was the gold reward from Aiden’s Charity party. Pretty cool looking.
She’s just so pretty. I hope she makes cute babies!!
Oh, this is a Love Day date. It goes far smoother than my mermaids’ Love Day date.. lol although this is the second date in a row Brent let someone steal the food I paid for… This is the second meal he ordered.
Grimm?? (Nice shadow, by the way…)
.. Oh yeah. It is about that time, isn’t it…
We use our polite introduction, ask him to hang out, and a couple more socials…
Yay! Achievement!
Sigh.. well, while you’re here….
Don’t know why Victor Feng is so sad. We didn’t even know the guy. But oh well. Now I’m down to a family of three. And Aiden shouldn’t be too far behind these other two deaths. So this house is going to get a whole lot easier really fast. But that’s the end of the sim-week.. so time for me to move on to another save!

The last thing I need is a new challenge. But what did I do? Started one anyway. I made an elder with the new CAS Stories a while ago, and was trying to figure out what to do with him. Eventually, I thought of the old Sims 3 Backwards ISBIs. Basically, you start with a male sim elder and each generation takes over at the next age group down. So the elder has to live long enough for his heir to make it to the adult life stage before taking over. Then, the next takes over as a young adult.. then teen.. all the way down to infant. I don’t even know if this is possible on Sims 4.. but I’m the one that is crazy enough to try. So here we go.
Meet Jesse Lockett.
I should have taken a picture of his starting screen with what he got from the story, but I didn’t realize I was going to documenting a challenge with him, so I didn’t. Lesson learned for next time. Take pictures of everything. LOL!
As you can see from the featured picture, I put him in my new favorite world, Sulani, on a starter house I haven’t played before. And, of course, didn’t take a picture of it right away.. so it has that annoying build mode white line around it. But such is life. Still a gorgeous pic. Love the moon in the background.
Anyways. I started the game up and dove right into the action. Obviously, getting an heir on the way ASAP was my first priority. Second was getting the aspiration points to start banking some youth potions.
For some reason, I decided I wanted to try for a librarian wife – they’re always generated sims and usually have pretty good traits.. so I sent him off to the library.
We try Windenburg first. And struck out. The librarian is a guy. Next!
Willow Creek is also a bust. Another guy librarian… and that lady back there is married. Takes too long to break up a marriage. So we move on. I rack my brain trying to remember if there’s any other libraries in the world.. and then I remember..
.. StrangeVille! And here we hit jackpot. Not only is it a Young Adult female, but she’s CUTE, too! We find out her two of her traits pretty quick and they’re the typical “Neat” and “Bookworm”.. and whatever the last one is, we’ll deal with it.
For now.. we really need to get the heir on the way. So cloudgazing to raise social is the way to go.
Lilith looks like she approves. I then ask Fetia (that’s her name) on a date, and take them to my Sulani restaurant that I plopped into this world.
They seem to be getting along really well. I finish the date as a gold pretty easily.. and decide “Why Not?” on trying to get her to marry us right here and now.
She accepted!! Sometimes sims can be so contrary on that first day.. I think that’s the fastest I’ve ever gotten two sims together. I’m getting better at this.
So I really do have them get married right there.. Clara seems to be thrilled by the whole thing (the sim in the background).. but then again, she might have been cheering over her dinner. Who knows, with sims.
Anyway, Meet Fetia.
Haha. Poor girl wanted to be a Vampire. Luckily we saved her from all that. They appear at home with the date complete.. and I immediately send them to try for baby.
Success! Nooboo incoming.
.. In the meantime, I never did have them eat at the restaurant.. so Jesse makes some dinner. (Also to try to prevent fires from Fetia trying to cook.) Yup, it’s just a garden salad. Can’t be taking chances on our points. Oh. on another note… per the “preferred” rules for an ISBI – we deleted her funds.. so we’re on a shoestring budget here. And Jesse can’t even afford a computer for his work task (that’s why we wrote a column at Windenburg library back in the first screenshot). He’s a Critic, by the way.
The next morning, we start the marathon aspiration-point hunt .. and double that up with trying to catch some fish for money. He doesn’t work for a couple days, so we have to make money somehow. Weirdly enough, the fishing spots in Sulani don’t seem to count for “fishing in 3 locations” .. so I send him to Willow Creek park to get that done with. He catches a cowplant berry… money! WooT!
Later, (literally, it’s 10pm sim time) .. the islanders show up with extra food for us.. which is clearly a win for us, less stuff for Jesse to cook.
Fetia goes into labor.. during the party.. and takes a shower. As you do. #simslogic
Sorry, Fetia, but we can’t really afford a bassinet. You’ll have to give birth on your own. What a face, though.
Baby time!! +5 points! … And Jesse sleeps through the whole thing. LOL. You can’t see it in this picture, but by this point I’ve been able to afford a computer and an extra chair.. but not wasting money on a desk.. so the computer’s at one end of the dining table.
Jesse has to watch TV for a work at home task.. so I buy them a TV, grumbling the whole time.
Fetia keeps winning the race to the bassinet. By the time Jaxson is a toddler, she’s already level four in parenting. She clearly wins the ISBI spouse award for this one. And she cleans house, too!
Another work task.. and luckily there’s an easel right there, so I can keep an eye on what’s going on.
That first milestone.. buying the first youth potion to stockpile.
Umm…. Thrall/Jesse.. you can’t get a suntan when there’s no sun out. Try again. (FAIL!)
And Jaxson grows up. He rolled the independent trait. Which is a good one to have in an ISBI. I splurge and buy all the toddler stuff.. and wince at the cost.
Oh, this one is a charmer for sure. Look at that face! And Fetia is still winning at the mom game. She’s helping him learn all by herself… while Jesse sleeps.
.. So much for that dollhouse I spent good money on. At some point during this day, Fetia ALMOST has an accident because I didn’t notice the toilet was broken.. but I got it fixed just in time. *knock on wood* still haven’t lost any points!
And this seemed a good point to end this play session. What a cute picture, too. At the end of this.. Jesse almost has enough points to get another youth potion thanks to my frenzied aspiration jumping and skill-work. This is one of the first times that Jesse has had a “break” since I started this thing.
Anyway. See you next time!
