As time has passed in my Island Spirits story, I've become very attached to the sims involved. So much so, I have been DREADING the next generation, and having so many wonderful sims taking a major backseat to the rest of the continuing story. Which has caused me to drag my feet in finishing the generation. However, in the background, I started coming up with ways to continue some of those background sims' stories. Finally, I think I have settled on how I will do that, and I'm super excited about it. So, with very little prelude… I introduce my new story. This will be my very first spin-off story of any of my challenges - in other words, usually, once a sim is out of one save, they have never appeared into another story or save. That's all about to change. NOTE: This was originally designed to be a blog story. However, as time has passed, the amount of time I have to devote to blogging has not increased. ... And I really wanted to bring REAL storytelling to my Streaming on Twitch. So, I am doing just that. Timeline Children will be aired on my Twitch Channel, as well as my Youtube channel. This will be the first of its kind for me - a true storytelling adventure while live. In other words, I will be telling the story as I play it, instead of just commentating. At least, that's the plan. At the time of this additional writing (10/24/25), I plan to film the previous backstory for this story and post it to Youtube... as soon as I can. Read: probably in the next month!

This was the second challenge I started on stream. It coincided with me writing my updated “Hard Mode” Decades Challenge, and is using that rule set. So there are a lot of rolls, and dying sims for various reasons. I’m also 100% using MC Command Center to its full potential, and I allowed the family to grow quite a bit past that 8 Sim limit. This challenge started with Jesse marrying Sarah (with both of them having full families in the save), and starting their family and farm from scratch. Sarah ended up dying in childbirth (due to a roll), so Jesse hired a local woman to help with the children while he looked for a new wife. (per rules). There was a chat vote, and Jesse ended up marrying Annabella - a local widow with two children of her own. Jesse and Annabella had quite a number of more kids, and Jesse did his best to help raise Annabella’s two older children. The eldest moved out and got married, and now has children of her own. I also do rolls and makeovers for all extended family in the save, which is complicated and requires a full spreadsheet to keep track of, but it’s been fun. I only actually PLAY the main family, but I am present for all Try for Babies, Births, and weddings in the family.

This was originally started because I needed a different sort of challenge to play on Wednesday nights. This is a challenge based on the seven deadly sins, and is all about your sims misbehaving. You can find the rules by Daisy Dezem here. For instance, in the first generation, your sim cannot EVER use a “friendly” interaction. And for each generation, you must get at least one negative Parenthood teen trait. This makes gameplay extremely interesting to me. My son originally found this challenge for me, and I started a playthrough of it at his apartment while I was keeping him company after his car accident last year. I liked it so much that I then brought the challenge home, and decided to restart it on stream. Being that I now do an interactive Asylum challenge on Wednesday nights, however, I need to find another time to play this. In all likelihood, I will be incorporating it into the rotation on Thursdays and Fridays.

This is a challenge I had been looking at for quite a while, and had originally intended to play it off-camera on my own. It's by faerie tempest, and you can find the rules here. However, I started it on-screen on a lark after Cottage Living came out, and I feel obligated to continue it in the same way because so many of my viewers got truly attached to this little family. After a vote, where this challenge was voted the challenge everyone wanted to see come back the most, I will be adding this into the rotation. It will come in after the Not So Berry Challenge. Basically, this is a Decades Challenge with slightly different rules, and a different perspective on the history. It also starts farther back in history, so we are currently in 1876. I really love this family, however, so it will most definitely be a challenge I look forward to playing whenever it comes up in the rotation!

Even though I’ve only been streaming since fall of 2020, I already have some challenges that I’ve either completed (Hoarders, I’m looking at you here..) or retired. Any of these has a chance of being resurrected at any time, so I figured writing a little bit about each of them was probably a good idea.
