Note on Lots: I will be building pre-built lots and putting them on the gallery with the tag “#timelineadventure” as I work through the challenge myself. My sims Origin tag is IllusoryThrall, feel free to toss me a follow. I will link each generation’s pre-built lots in boxes like this on this page for each generation – so if you’re not a builder, you can still easily play this challenge. I will eventually get to building lots for all generations, but for now it’s just the first few generations that I have completed. All lots mentioned on these pages are CC-free and playable! Also, if you build a lot that qualifies as those two things and want it included in these lists, please just drop me a comment here or a message at IllusoryThrall on the sims forums, I will check it out and add it if it fits!

Gen 41: The Aftermath (Far Future)

You and your adoptive parent barely survived the Apocalypse. The world is full of trash, and new things are next to impossible to come by. You have found a home lot with natural amenities, and your entire focus is rebuilding your world and helping the environment around you to recover.

Town: Evergreen Harbor (Grim’s Quarry)

Lot Traits: Geothermal, Natural Well, Eco Lot

Lot Challenges: Reduce and Recycle, Off The Grid, Simple Living

Holidays: Place one holiday called Rebirth Day on the date that the Mother was defeated, to be repeated yearly with the following traditions: Fireworks, Make Resolutions, Remembrance, Thankful Spirit, Tell Stories

Traits: Maker, Green Fiend, Recycle Disciple

Aspiration: Eco Innovator

Career: Civil Designer

Gen 41 Goals:

• Complete the Eco Innovator Aspiration on your main sim.
• Complete the Civil Designer career (your choice of branch) on your main sim.
• Max skills: Fabrication, Juice Fizzing, Gardening (all on main sim)
• Get your neighborhood to be trash-free and green again (change the Eco-Footprint from Industrial to Green.
• Have either the Modern Development Neighborhood Action Plan or the Green Initiatives NAP active in your neighborhood.
• Sell both power and water from your lot to others in need
• Grow a vertical indoor garden
• Grow your own bio-fuel from Insect Farm(S)
• Furnish your house with upcycled items, fabricated items, or items found in a dumpster.
• Getting married is completely at your discretion. You are more than welcome to adopt again and skip the whole getting married thing.
• Have (or) adopt at least one child.
• Again, if you brought the Servo, they can continue to stay with you.
• Your heir’s traits will be: Freegan, Slob, Hates-Children; and their aspiration is Master Maker.

Generation 41 Lots:

Gen 42: Coming Full Circle (Even Farther Future)

You grew up with the knowledge that the world is precious. You were taught that every resource was valuable, and once you were old enough to be on your own, you decide that being free was the most important thing in your life. You move out, refusing to take anything but the bare minimum you need to survive. You make your living at the bottom of a dumpster, making things for the new world’s needs as a Freelance Maker. When catering to the new society feels like too much pressure, you wander the neighborhood, looking for deals in the dumpsters, and enjoying the community centers. The freedom you have found goes to your head and consequently, continuing the legacy that your ancestors began is the farthest thing from your mind – in fact, you have no intention of doing just that. Let the cycle end with you… in a new world, in a beautiful time of renewal and beginnings for all.

Town: Evergreen Harbor (Port Promise)

Lot Traits: Eco Lot, Geothermal, Natural Well

Lot Challenges: Reduce and Recycle, Off-the-Grid, Simple Living

Holidays:

• Spring: Flower fest: Give flowers, egg hunt, grand meal, flower bunny
• Summer: Freedom Day: BBQ, fireworks, drinking, party spirit
• Fall: All Hallows Eve: Remembrance, Spooky spirit, Trick or Treat
• Winter: Winterfest: Give gifts, grand meal, festive lighting, festive spirit

Traits: Freegan, Slob, Hates-Children

Aspiration: Master Maker

Career: Dumpster Diving, Freelance Maker

Gen 42 Goals:

• Complete the Master Maker aspiration on main sim.
• Max the Freelance Maker career on main sim.
• After Mastering your career, quit and make money from dumpster diving (make sure you get credit for max career in your aspiration before quitting!)
• Skills to be maxed: Fabrication, Juice Fizzing (on main sim)
• Having children or not is completely up to you. Being that this is the final generation, you can let it end with your main sim.
• There are no traits specified for an heir – if you choose to have one, you can pick your own traits or use the randomizer.
• The generation ends when you finish the skills and the aspiration assigned.

Generation 42 Lots:

Congratulations, you finished the challenge!! I truly hope you enjoyed it! I would love to hear how you did! Throw yourself a party, or do something just for you… after this journey, you deserve it!
