Trying Something New!!

• Celebration Stream: My Gallery Downloads are at 9350+, and creeping ever closer to 10,000. When I hit 10k I will be scheduling a celebration stream during which I will be giving away some packs. At least two stuff packs of your choice (must be a follower of mine on Twitch, and must be on PC with Origin or Steam), a game pack or two, and also one of the coming expansion pack. The stream will probably be a build-a-long (my first) where I give everyone (including me) a prompt and some specifications, and we all build. A couple weeks after that stream, I’ll do a tour stream where we can all show off our build-a-long builds!
• SimNaNo: As I mentioned last week, this is coming up in July, and as I prepare for it, I’ll be trying to figure out how to increase my blogging for the month of July without dropping my streaming – because quite honestly, I love streaming and every one of you guys who shows up to hang out with me. I will be putting streaming my blog stories to a test this week, and see if it’s even possible (see Monday and Tuesday in the above schedule). This event will not affect shell tours or the above mentioned celebration stream and it’s later tours!
• The new July 22nd Cottage Living expansion will be doing all sorts of fun things to my schedule, because I will be dropping pretty much anything I’m still working on to pull out my Decades challenges (both the blog ones and the stream one). If I have not finished the generations of my Drifter, Master Simmer, and Mermaid Legacy, (blogged stories) they will just have to wait until they come up in rotation again, and the same goes for my Stream Not So Berry.
• Also: do not forget that we have two build challenges going at this time: (although the second is due wednesday!)

• SimNaNo: During the month of July, I have a blog event happening for one of the forum groups I’m a part of – basically a Sim version of National Novel Writing Month. Basically, you choose some personal goals to get to, either a certain number of posts, or pictures, or words within the month. Then, throughout the month, you post on the forums links to your blog posts (either story form or commentary, I don’t think it matters which) and everyone cheers each other on. It’s really a lot of fun, in all the right ways. In the past two previous year’s events, I have achieved massive success – last year I topped 50,000 words published in a month, the year before more than 30,000. Now, I don’t know if I’m going to shoot for the medal for 50k words again (there’s also a bonus forum medal for 25k words, which seems more realistic), but I am definitely participating in the event. (Those interested in the event for themselves are welcome to check it out on the boolprop forums (https://www.boolprop.net/viewtopic.php?f=302&t=7251) Combining this with keeping up my streaming schedule, however, will be interesting. Some people have expressed interest in me actually streaming my game play and picture taking strategy for my daily story posts for the event. Doing this would also allow me to get things done with “less” stress. However, I don’t know if this is something everyone would be interested in, or whether I should restrict something like this to just a couple days a week. Will probably put a discussion topic or vote about it on my discord, or you’re free to comment on this post on my blog with comments about this. This event will not affect shell tours or the above mentioned celebration stream and it’s later tours!
• Golden Plumbob awards: on those same forums, I recently found out that several of my Sims blog stories have been nominated for awards based on last year’s blog postings. I’m incredibly flattered by it, and wanted to share the graphic I was gifted:

As of tonight, Moving Walls is over, and tours were AMAZING. We had eight turn ins, and they were all really well done (and no, one was not mine – I got stuck on mine and didn’t finish it!) Remember, if you didn’t get yours done in time, you are welcome to turn it (or any shell of mine) in late, and just come to any stream, and I will tour it for free (i.e. no channel points needed) then.

But, on to the topic you all have been waiting for. The new shell challenge for June is now live! It’s called Half & Half Shell, and is tagged with #thrallshell5. It’s going to be a lot of fun. Due date is first Wed. of July, the 7th, at 5 PM EST.

Also, remember, there’s also my Junk House renovation live at the moment, tours are scheduled for June 16th. If you haven’t finished yours, and you read this.. change your hash tag from #onesim to #thrallonesim so it’s easier to find, apparently #onesim is pretty popular already.

Dream Home Decorator & Shell Tour Week!

• Monday, May 31st (1-5 PM EST): Building stream. I plan to get some channel point redemptions done, then work on my Moving Walls Shell (probably). Either that or make a new sim for Tuesday’s new challenge.
• Tuesday, June 1st (1-5 PM EST): Based on the vote on discord, we will be starting a brand new challenge – Rags to Riches based on the new Dream Home Decorator pack! I will be online as soon as the new pack downloads on my computer to get it started!
• Wednesday, June 2nd (12-3 PM EST): Building Stream
• Wednesday, June 2nd (5-9 PM EST): SHELL TOUR DAY!! I will also be debuting my next shell challenge (Called Half & Half) at the end of stream!

“One Sim” will remain a once a day posting thing, and I have a ton of fun things planned story-wise for upcoming days and weeks. I will continue to allow game play happenings to affect the story, but I definitely have some plans that will be happening to Jazmyn’s story-line whether or not anything happens to point to it in game play.

Just a head’s up, I will be taking the end off the week “off”, as I have my second Covid shot on Thursday, and I have no idea how I’m going to feel the following couple of days. If I do stream on those days, we’ll just consider them bonus streams, but at this time I’m simply planning on taking the time to veg, recover, and relax. Anyway, here’s the current schedule:

I am hoping to get my Medieval builds done by Thursday, but I can’t guarantee it, because I still have two lots to finish at this time.

Good news! I’m trying something new this week, and starting this week, I’ll be setting aside my Sundays to play and write my blog posts up… then will be scheduling what I get done throughout the following week. I haven’t figured out the exact posting schedule, but I’m thinking it’ll be 3 or 4 posts per week in whatever rotation I’m currently playing. (For reference, I’m on Rotation One. Which means – Tails of Sulani Mermaid Legacy, Master Simmer, and my Drifter Challenge are going to get their next gens finished before I move to the next rotation.) If I get three posts, it’ll be Monday / Wednesday / Friday; if four, it’ll be Monday / Tuesday / Thursday / Friday.
