Streams This Next Week:

  • Monday, August 23rd (1-5 PM EST): Special Stream – Putting together the rooms for my collab with DeeDavidSim into a house, then landscaping and the like.
  • Tuesday, August 24th (1-5 PM EST): Black History Challenge
  • Wednesday, August 25th (1-3 PM EST): Building?
  • Wednesday, August 25th (5-9 PM EST): Either building or Farm Legacy Challenge
  • Thursday, August 26th (2-8? PM EST): Special Stream – Simmer Sabotage collab with BritishSimerTime – Notice that this will be starting an hour later than usual, and I have no idea how long it’ll go. So we’ll just play it by ear.
  • Friday, August 27th (1-5 PM EST): Farm Legacy Challenge (Would like to get some work done on the second generation!)
  • Saturday, August 28th (1-5 PM EST): Special Stream – Our first-ever Community Games Night! Let’s all get together and have a good time with this!
  • Sunday, August 29th: No stream

I will hopefully be getting back to the decades challenge next week, but this week I really wanted to do some other stuff, like the Farm legacy. ALSO: Tours MAY be postponed an extra week for our shell, I’m considering being part of the no-stream on Sept. 1st with the protest on twitch against hate raids. Will let you know!

Fun Stuff:

  • Community Challenges! – I have all three of my possible challenges up and ready for funding (i.e. wasting your points on… ) Feel free to fund whichever you want first, or keep things wild and interesting by funding all three each day. Basically, you’re able to spend a maximum of 2k channel points per stream day on each of these challenges.
    • Chat dictates my build – Once this is funded, I will schedule a special stream where chat gets to vote on every little thing about my build. Type, size, packs used, themes, and more!
    • Community Games Night – Once funded, I schedule a special game-night stream where we all get together to play party games like Jackbox, Gartic Phone, and others. Can’t promise it’ll stay safe for work! *grin* COMPLETED
    • Put Thrall on the Chaos Wheel – Once funded, I schedule a special gameplay stream where chat redeems wheel spins to add chaos. Wheel will be designed by me with lots of chaotic things to put my sims through. (if you’re interested in what kind of things will be on the wheel, I’ll be using this reddit post as my inspiration: https://www.reddit.com/r/thesims/comments/7gxyl7/random_sim_events_list/)
    • Sims Murder Party: 8 Rainbow sims competing to see who lives the longest. Chat redeems to add either helpful or murderous items to my build, as well as other chaos redeems. This idea comes from BritishSimerTime‘s stream – and as a chat participant.. it was SO much fun.
    • After these three are done, the next challenge(s) to be added are:
      • My new Homes for Gnomes Village project: Another Community Challenge that, once funded, will be an interactive Shell challenge and special build a long stream (starting in August at the earliest) where I will give everyone participating (whether there for the build a long or just signed up via the Google Doc I will set up) a 15 by 15 outdoor room with a shell on it to decorate based on prompts I will be providing. Themes will be based on the base game gnomes in Sims 4, and the shells will be built by me to match. I will spin a wheel for each participant live on stream to see which gnome and shell you get, and your job will be to decorate it in the month following. Lastly, I will put together all builds into a huge downloadable Gnome Village lot (or lots if we have enough participants) and we will schedule a tour of all the builds! Again, you’ll have a full month to put your build together as a participant, and they will all be “tiny homes”, so this should not be too time-consuming or difficult for anyone. Depending on how this works (or doesn’t), I may do more challenges based on this general idea.

Streams This Next Week:

  • Monday, August 16th (1-5 PM EST): Special Stream – Buildalong (#picknicbasket) tours! After tours, I’ll do a couple of channel point redemption builds that need doing, the load up my rooms for my collab with DeeDavidSim. I hope to finish them on this day, so this stream may run a bit late.
  • Tuesday, August 17th (1-5 PM EST): Black History Challenge
  • Wednesday, August 18th (1-3 PM EST): No Stream
  • Wednesday, August 18th (5-9 PM EST): RainbowSins Challenge
  • Thursday, August 19th (1-5 PM EST): Hard Mode Decades Challenge
  • Friday, August 20th (1-5 PM EST): Hard Mode Decades Challenge
  • Saturday, August 21st (1-5 PM EST): Hard Mode Decades Challenge
  • Sunday, August 22nd: No stream

Looking ahead to the week after, I’m planning to schedule our first ever Community Game Night on EITHER August 25th (the wed evening stream), or in the afternoon/evening on August 28th (Saturday). Putting up a poll on discord to decide which day it will be. Also: yes, I realize that the community challenge for the Community Game Night wasn’t completed all the way. I decided since it’s taking so long for all three, I am going to refund all points for it to you all and consider it completed. If you’re paying close attention, you’ll notice that there’s a new third Community Challenge added in, with a lower point target.

  • Wednesday, August 11th (1-3 PM EST): No Stream (Taking off for my son’s birthday)
  • Wednesday, August 11th (5-9 PM EST): No Stream

  • In Search of Streamers to Collaborate with: I am also hunting for more streamers who are willing to collaborate on Twitch stream challenges: For more info, contact me on Twitch or Discord.
    • Inside/Outside Shell Challenges: This involves you building a set of rooms and decorating them, me building a shell and all the landscaping, and then switching said builds. I would then put together your rooms into a house and landscape it, and you would decorate the shell I made.
    • Chaos Wheel Challenges: This involves doing a multi stream (or just both of us streaming at the same time) with both streamers coming up with their own wheel of “bad things” to do to the other person’s game and build. We start with a sim we’ve created and then play “Rags to Riches” style, with the “goal” being building a full house and having a family. Each of us will get to pick our own things to put on the wheel. At the end of stream, both streamers upload their builds and families and wonder where it all went wrong. (LOL)
    • Blind Building Challenges: Again, a same-time stream, only this time it’s all about building. One person is building “blind”, without being able to see the other person’s screen. The other streamer builds a build, and directs their partner to build the same build with just verbal directions. At the end of stream, both partners upload their builds and laugh about how different they are.

Streams This Next Week*:

  • Monday, July 19th (1-5 PM EST): Playing my Drifter Challenge, the Ramblers, House 13. Goal is to get through the very last week of the generation, and prepare for the next if we have time. https://illusorythrall.com/simlitnstories/challenge-attempts/ramblers/
  • Tuesday, July 20th (1-5 PM EST): More Master Simmer blog challenge (gen 4 currently) Goal is, to get to end of generation (and finish our goals) by the 22nd. I’m hoping to finish it sometime today. https://illusorythrall.com/simlitnstories/challenge-attempts/thralls-master-simmer/
  • Wednesday, July 21st (1-3 PM EST): No stream
  • Wednesday, July 21st (5-9 PM EST): Catch up stream or Building. If either Drifter or Master Simmer generations aren’t done, this is when I’ll finish them. If those are done, I will probably put the time into building.
  • Thursday, July 22nd (1-5 PM EST): Special Stream AlertFirst Cottage Living Play Stream!! The plan is to go back to my Stream “Hard Mode” Decades Challenge, which is patiently waiting in the 1900s for their farm to get some animals. However, I reserve the right to make a new sim and just enjoy the new pack for this day if MCCC isn’t ready for me to play my Decades quite yet.
  • Friday, July 23rd (1-5 PM EST): By this point, MCCC should be ready, so I’ll be playing my “Hard Mode” Decades Challenge.
  • Saturday, July 24th (1-9 PM EST): More Decades Challenge Play.
  • Sunday, July 25th: No stream

*As you can see, everything is moved around with the 22nd of July as the “finish” date for a lot of things. As of the 22nd, the new pack is coming out, and I will also be stopping my current blog rotation of stories, and switching to “Rotation Two”: my Decades Challenge War, and the Diversity Experiment. Expect the week after this to go more or less back to “normal”.

  • Wednesday, July 21st (5-9 PM EST): Catch up stream. If I have NOT finished Plum Gen, Drifter, or Master Simmer’s Gens by this day, I will be finishing them now. If I am done with all.. hooray, and we’ll work on my RainbowSins challenge, or build. In other words, playing this by ear for today.

*grin*
    • After these three are done, the next challenge to be added is: My new Homes for Gnomes Village project: Another Community Challenge that, once funded, will be an interactive Shell challenge and special build a long stream (starting in August at the earliest) where I will give everyone participating (whether there for the build a long or just signed up via the Google Doc I will set up) a 15 by 15 outdoor room with a shell on it to decorate based on prompts I will be providing.
  • SimNaNo: This started July 1st, (and finishes on the 31st) and is the main reason for my main streaming challenges being missing from the streaming schedule. I want to get my current blog rotation finished at the very latest before July 22nd so I can move to my Decades rotation with the new pack.
  • Also: do not forget we have a new challenge up as of last Tuesday:
  • As of Saturday, there’s a second “shell challenge” from the Build-A-Long. You are welcome to participate even if you couldn’t make it to the stream! Rules are as follows: Download lot from this hashtag on the gallery: #picknicbasket – Designed as a choose your own size shell. The only piece you MUST use is the rounded deck, but it can be merged with other pieces so long as the outside rounded edge is still clearly visible. Your prompt: Build a home for picnicking with a large deck area (covered or not) outside. Choose at least 6 rooms from the given 25 (plus deck), & build a home or venue. Adding walls & changing to spandrel fence or half wall is ok. Must include a water feature. Tours: Aug 14 (a Saturday, starting at 1PM)

Streams This Week*:

  • Monday, July 5th (1-5 PM EST): Special Stream Alert – Working on HiHelloRachel’s Shell Collaboration! If I have extra time, I’ll do additional building. Conversely, if I don’t get it done, I will finish on Wednesday’s early stream.
  • Tuesday, July 6th (1-5 PM EST): Special Stream Alert – Building my Secret Santa Shell for PixelatedFoxGaming’s Challenge. Same clauses as Mondays’ stream.
  • Wednesday, July 7th (12-3 PM EST): Building stream!
  • Wednesday, July 7th (5-9 PM EST): Special Stream AlertShell Tours For my Half and Half shell. If you’re still working on yours, you’ve got a few days still to get in your submission. Really looking forward to seeing these! Will also be debuting “My Best Friend’s Shell” Challenge at the end of tours (tours for this will be done on August 4th).
  • Thursday, July 8th (1-5 PM EST): Playing my Drifter blog challenge (gen 13 currently) https://illusorythrall.com/simlitnstories/challenge-attempts/ramblers/
  • Friday, July 9th (1-5 PM EST): Playing my Master Simmer blog challenge (gen 4 currently) https://illusorythrall.com/simlitnstories/challenge-attempts/thralls-master-simmer/
  • Saturday, July 10th (1-9 PM EST): Special Stream Alert10k Gallery Downloads Celebration! – This stream will be a build-a-long prompt and shell. I will publish the shell at the beginning of stream as well as put up the exact rules and prompt then, and anyone who can make it is welcome to build a long with me. TOURS for these will be Wednesday, July 24th at 5PM EST. Also, the thing I know I’ve been really waiting to announce – I will be hosting GIVEAWAYS during stream!! – I will be giving away FOUR Stuff Packs, TWO Game Packs and TWO Expansion packs – one per hour each hour of stream. I have figured out ways to make this international, and if you win I will do everything possible to get your pack to you ASAP. MUST be on PC, and on Steam or Origin to be eligible.
  • Sunday, July 4th: No stream

*I do apologize that my main stream challenges are missing from this schedule, but with SimNaNo having started July 1st, and all the special streams this week, things needed to be shifted around. Expect to see things settling down next week.

Upcoming fun stuff:

  • Community Challenges! – I will be launching at least one of these during this week, so it (or they) will be up by Saturday’s Celebration stream. Basically, these are “projects” that my stream viewers will “fund” with channel points. Once funded, I will then schedule the project and associated Special Streams listed. If you have any ideas for other projects like this, let me know!
    • Chat dictates my build – this is one of those fun “torture the streamer” things. After the challenge is funded, I will schedule a special stream in which anyone who can be there will be voting on details of my build – from the size, to the type, to the style, to the colors and packs used. Should be interesting, and fun for everyone!
    • Community Games Night – Once this is funded, I will schedule a special stream in the afternoon or evening (we’ll hold a vote to see when the best day/time will be for everyone) and we’ll play some interactive games. I have ALL of the Jackbox Party Packs on Steam that we can play, as well as all available You Don’t Know Jack trivia games, and/or Scribblio, Gartic Phone, Golf With Friends, and even a possibility of something like Among Us.
    • Also Announcing: My new Homes for Gnomes Village project: Another Community Challenge that, once funded, will be an interactive Shell challenge and special build a long stream (starting in August at the earliest) where I will give everyone participating (whether there for the build a long or just signed up via the Google Doc I will set up) a 15 by 15 outdoor room with a shell on it to decorate based on prompts I will be providing. • The new July 22nd Cottage Living expansion will be doing all sorts of fun things to my schedule, because I will be dropping pretty much anything I’m still working on to pull out my Decades challenges (both the blog ones and the stream one). If I have not finished the generations of my Drifter, Master Simmer, and Mermaid Legacy, (blogged stories) they will just have to wait until they come up in rotation again, and the same goes for my Stream Not So Berry.
  • Also: do not forget that we have a shell challenge going at this time – only few days left to get in your entries for Wednesday’s tours!!

Streams This Week*:

*I do apologize that my main stream challenges are missing from this schedule, but with SimNaNo starting July 1st, things needed to be shifted around. More explanation about this below. I do hope to put my Plum Gen Not So Berry back on the schedule next week, though!

Reminder – Also coming up:

  • Celebration Stream: My Gallery Downloads are at 9766 (at the time of this writing), and creeping ever closer to 10,000. When I hit 10k I will be scheduling a celebration stream during which I will be giving away some packs. At least two stuff packs of your choice (must be a follower of mine on Twitch, and must be on PC with Origin or Steam), a game pack or two, and also one of the coming expansion pack. The stream will be a build-a-long (my first) where I give everyone (including me) a prompt and some specifications, and we all build. A couple weeks after that stream, I’ll do a tour stream where we can all show off our build-a-long builds!

I want to get my current blog rotation finished at the very latest before July 22nd, so we’ll be visiting my Drifter and my Master Simmer stories this week, as well as my Mermaids. This event will not affect shell tours in July or the above mentioned celebration stream and it’s later tours!

I am a 47 year old American wife, mother, and gamer. I’ve lived in the Midwest most of my life, and enjoy it for the changing seasons. My favorite movie is Labyrinth, my favorite game is Sims 4, and I have tattoos related to both. My favorite colors are purple, red, and green. When I’m not playing games (which is rare) I also enjoy reading and crafting. I’m also an animal lover, and have had many types of pets over the years. Currently, I have a dog named Cassie who is a Jack Russel / Beagle mix and five young fancy rats (all of whom are rescues). I run this Sims 4 Blog where I post screenshots and stories about the different challenges I play. Also here are the Sims 4 challenges I've written, and a place for me to store all the Sims 4 knowledge I've gotten over the years. I am also a Sims 4/variety streamer on Twitch for my mental health, fun, and to meet new people. I am also in the EA Creator Network and an Ubisoft Partner, which is a dream come true! I look forward to meeting you!
