First thing.. we check on the goals for this part of house 007:

House 007 Part 2 Building Goals:
Have a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom (minimum) house worth at least 40k
House 007 Part 2 Generational Goals:
Complete the Soulmate Aspiration
Have a Young Adult heir

Second, we have some set up to do – we move the other Ramblers back into house 6 and move the two new ones into Springscape. Since it’s the middle of the night, the first pictures are awful, but that’s the way things go.

Third, I realize I completely forgot to turn aging off for the first part of house 007 so I feed Emmett a young again potion to make up for it. Don’t have the points for Claire, but I think she’ll be okay. Here are their starting stats: (Emmett’s original aspiration was the pets one, he may go back to it after we finish soulmate.)

Their first action: flirt in front of the only thing they have. A mailbox.

I have them become best friends.

Then, first order of business… literally.. is to get a job. Because the business investor career is high paying, I put him in that.

I change both sims into their outerwear (may be cheating, but I want them to live) and get started on the house. By the next day.. their outerwear stinks.. and I wonder why I never got rid of the sunglasses and hat for Claire. It starts to get on my nerves. LOL.

Now that the dig sites are up, and I can SEE them.. Emmett heads out collecting.

Wait: Onions are a winter plant!? Score!

The pile of dirty dishes begins. Claire is not impressed.

The second important thing. First thing was the above food cooler. Second: no more peeing themselves.

Well, I know what the third thing has to be. Poor Claire.

I let Emmett try showering in the rain. In the middle of winter. Sounds legit. But at least he’s clean for his first day of work.

Amazingly, Claire gets bored enough while Emmett is at work to continue the planting in the garden.

But obviously, some things are more fun than planting. Check out the pile of plates. LOL.

Finally. A place for poor Claire to rest. She hasn’t found a bench this entire time!

The worst Winterfest ever. Father Winter shows up by the mailbox and gives Emmett a $115 lamp. Um.. thanks!?  I guess every little bit helps, huh.

Now that they have a bathroom, the handiness skill needs working on.

Jeez, Claire.. he JUST fixed the sink. Too bad he’s at work now, you’ll have to make do.

*gasp* A house!  A real house! And they managed it before Spring hit!

I saved $1000 so they could travel, and do their first date.

Having something other than granola to eat must have been amazing.

Date 2: Romance Festival. It was in town.. so why not.

We decide to ask the guru for advice, just for fun…

… Like a burning Donkey?!?!  That’s a new one to me. HAHAHAHAHA!

Everyone seems to be happy for them.

Spring starts, so I put the onions in the family inventory and plant lemons (all season) and bluebells which will last through summer. Gardening is so complicated now that seasons is out!

Oh yeah, and I bought him a bee box.

Bills #2. And we could even afford them. We’re not doing too bad!

I decide it’s past time to try for the heir now that it’s spring and they have a “house”.

The downstairs shell is done. More or less.

Next date. I know, I sent them back to the restaurant. But the poor kids are still eating out of a cooler. I figure they’re hungry!

Sorry, Sis Kerry. Emmett has stuff to do for work.

The upstairs starts to “take shape”

And we finally get a look at what Damien really looks like. He got mommy’s hair! Yay!  I love redheads.

Emmett just can’t handle any more. I stuff a moodlet solver down him after this shot, because he needed one.

Emmett gets home with a promotion. Enough to finish the shell with walls and windows. No paint yet, but we’ll get there.

On that note, That’s a pretty good start for Part 2! I’m officially back up to the farthest I’ve ever gotten in drifter. Everything from this point on is new to me. So this should be exciting!

Today’s goals:

House 007 Part One Day 9:
2PM: Schedule a party on the home lot
When party ends: Evict the contestant with the lowest relationship
score then offer the final contestant a rose, ask to be boyfriend,
then propose to them.
When this is done: Pause game play and move to part 2 of house 007

The last day of the bachelor contest.. and then we cut the winner loose with Emmett and they start the real “meat” of house 007.

Since I stopped in the middle of the night, here’s some ghost shots to get us started… the maid is haunting..

Jenny finally wakes up and starts making breakfast.

Emmett has whims to embrace and kiss Claire, so while she’s separate from Jenny, I take advantage of it.

Then, he wants to make a snow pal with someone, so I pick Jenny.

Nice, Emmett. Really.

Since it’s freezing out, I have Emmett join the “polar bear club” for an achievement.. he then hurries back inside.

… And warms up in front of the fire. Can’t have the heir freezing to death.

Jenny comes in with a kiss, and I let her since Claire is elsewhere.

Dance time! (With the last few minutes I have before the party starts.)

I choose a black and white party, since a formal party for the end of the party seems just the thing. Here’s Emmett making some Zebra Fizz for party requirements.

Bernard from Von Haunt Estate shows up as the entertainer, and the old lady is apparently the mixologist. If you look closely, you can see the other Zebra Fizz I was supposed to make is done, and I can move Emmett on to other things.

The party goes by pretty quick with no real whims for contestants, and we get a silver party. Scoring:

SOOO close, but Claire wins. I have Jenny and Emmett “just be friends” and send Jenny out into the cold. Which reminds me.. I’m starting the next house in the dead of winter. Good thing it’s in Oasis Springs and not Willow Creek!

Success! The house party is officially over, and so is part 1 of house 007.

I elect to get them married in the snow before moving them out, though. It just seems romantic.

Now.. off to let these two freeze in Oasis Springs!

Again, we’re to follow Emmett’s wishes, and this is the last date before the final house party…. so we’re almost done!

Emmett wakes up early, and I send him to have breakfast. He cleans up his dishes like a good boy…

Claire wakes up and heads straight for the stereo.

Emmett decides to join the party….

… And Jenny is busy with breakfast.

However, while I’m looking for what Jenny is doing, Claire has walked over and kissed Emmett.. and Keira is NOT happy about it.

Ok Emmett.. let’s try apologizing.

And then Claire walks through with ANOTHER kiss for Emmett… Poor Kiera. Yay. Try to cheer up worked for a change.

Not sure what Emmett said.. but this day is NOT going well for poor Kiera.

Claire and Jenny chat as though nothing is going wrong in the next room.

After some careful chat choices, I get both Keira and Emmett back into good moods.

So I send Emmett off to do something safer than chat with the girls.

…Maybe a game or two of chess?  (Since he’s getting useless wishes, and quite frankly with all the stress, I’ve been forgetting to watch them.)

Okay. Finally. Time for a date. I send Keira and Emmett off to the Bluffs. And immediately..

What?? We JUST got here?! Hm. Let’s try to make her feel better.

Ahh.. things are finally going better. Flirts accepted… and I finally feel like this date will go like all the other ones did – successfully.

… Maybe not. Emmett.. what did you say?

Keira – “Do NOT WANT Emmett”…

Then, Emmett has to pee… so I send him off to the local bush.. and Keira happily plays on her phone. Perhaps she’s checking a dating site for someone else.

Emmett just keeps getting the cold shoulder.. and now Kiera has to pee, too. Can this go any worse?

Ah. Finally. I got another flirt to be accepted. Emmett seems to think he’s a stud.

Let’s try a Mistletoe Kiss? Also accepted. Things are looking up!

So I try for a real kiss… and Keira literally pushes him away. Oof. Not good.

That pretty much ends the date. Somehow it was still a silver date.. and I give Keira her rose.

She accepts it.. then promptly gives a thumbs-down thought bubble. And gives the rose back. By this point, I’m laughing so hard I’m nearly crying.

I send them back home.. and double check the friendship panel to be sure.. yep.. Keira is definitely the contestant going home. I feel so bad for her! I really liked her, and had high hopes for this last date, but the whole day just went wrong. Just goes to show that even best laid plans don’t always go like you hoped when you’re playing Sims.

At this point, I decide the next day’s party can happen tomorrow. Maybe I’ll have better luck then!

Again, we’re to follow Emmett’s whims. We’ll have to see whether he goes for Keira or Claire today. LOL.

We spend the morning following sims around, and working on Harvest Fest, which just happens to be today.

Jenny seems to really like sleeping in the hottub. Every time I turn around, she’s in there.

Emmett’s trying to appease the gnomes.

No such luck. Again.

Third try is the charm apparently.

Grand meal for everyone. And we even manage to have a civil conversation without anyone getting jealous. I’ll count that as a win. Haha.

After lunch dancing with Keira.

Last chat before heading out.

When the date starts, Emmett has a “wandering love” embarassed moodlet, so we get rid of it talking to Claire and get down to business for the date. Still no whims for the girls. I sent Emmett and Claire to the Von Haunt Estate.

Then Carina dies mid-date. Monkeywrench, hello. So we spend the date trying to get them flirty… and finally succeed.

And of course.. I get the flower back.. again.

And NOW he wants to woohoo with Claire. Better late than never, huh?

Still managed a gold date, though.

The two from the date are exhausted,

While the other two dance the night away.

And that’s it for that day. No ghost visits that I noticed. Just a butler running around trying to keep up with the cleaning and repairing.

Jenny’s turn. We spend the morning apologizing to her and wooing her, since her romance bar is back down to nearly zero.

She’s also the last sim without having had a first kiss, so we remedy that quickly.

Asking to woohoo… and SO close to being caught. Thank god there’s a wall there!!

The first woohoo. Then it’s time to head out on a date. I send them to the spice fest.

Emmett finds he can’t take the heat.

Jenny can, though.. she won the whole contest and got the T-shirt!

Getting the date complete was ridiculously easy, so they spent some time star gazing and chatting. The photo bomber is actually Whitney Rambler. I was tempted to get Emmett up to say hi, but he was too busy. 😉

I forget the flower at the date.. so I give it at home.. and miss getting caught by mere seconds.  Yikes.

Emmett and Jenny go straight to bed, the other two stay up.

No ghosts for the second night in a row.

Again, we’re to follow Emmett’s whims… and the three losing fishers were Jenny, Keira, and Cristina.. so they’ll go on the outing with Emmett. Now where to send them.. restaurant maybe? We’ll see. Got a little bit of time before that happens, so I ‘ll try to romance / chat up the contestants in the meantime.

Claire is up early watching TV,

Kiera is up getting breakfast.. and thank god she didn’t try to cook it. Funny, though, is that Claire left the room as soon as Keira sat down. I don’t think they like each other much.

Both clean up breakfast dishes…

and then, suddenly, everyone’s up. Keira’s relationship needs to most work, so I’m going to have him go talk to her for a while, even though he rolls “get to know claire” and “chat with claire” .. in a minute there, sparky.

Claire is.. playing chess…

Jenny is.. in the shower. (sorry sweetie)

..and Cristina is eating.

So we spend some time with Keira, then go get those whims done for Claire.

After the dinner date, I make a point to spend some time with the lowest scored contestant, Cristina, simply because I like her.

Looks like it’s Cristina that leaves, despite my last ditch attempt to get her bars up there after the outing. Oh well. They can’t all win!

I couldn’t figure out what Jen was looking at..

… Until Arjun popped out of the piano.

Jenny clearly doesn’t believe in sleeping tonight. She spends all night listening to music and or dancing.

And that wraps up that day. Down to three contestants. And tomorrow is Harvest day, so that should complicate things, too. I’m not sure exactly how to handle it. But we’ll see.

Again, we’re to follow Emmett’s whims.

Jenny is the first up, and has breakfast in the nook alone.

It took forever to get all of them out there and fishing, so I started the contest at 9 and ran it until 11.

Cristina gives up first. And then seems to judge Keira for still fishing. LOL.

Claire catches three fish… wow! Jenny gets one. Kiera gets.. an apple. And Cristina gets nothing. So Claire very clearly wins.

We try calming Keira’s sad moodlet from the drifting love… still sad.

She decides to make breakfast.

Claire autonomously kisses Emmett’s cheek but I miss the screenshot.

Let’s try sharing emotional burden? … Marcus ends up with an embarrassed moodlet from being caught with another. Sigh. This day is NOT going well!

Keira’s really in rough shape. Apparently that autonomous kiss made her even more upset! Yikes.

I hurriedly send Emmett to try to get rid of his embarrassed moodlet before the date.. because that would be disastrous.

I get poor Emmett down to a 7 hour embarrassed moodlet, and it’s time to head out with Claire.

Chapter 1.3 < | > Chapter 1.5

Now, I realize the last update to this story was before even the toddlers came out.. so there’s lots of change coming down the road for this family. Seasons, Parenthood, and eventually, their own toddlers. The featured picture… is when heaven hits an ISBI… everyone’s asleep!!

We start off with Andrew and Alan, hanging out in the living room.

And Dominick freezing our game by talking to Alan during homework. You’d think they would have fixed that bug by now.

Alan and Andrew again. They seem almost joined at the hip.

Aimee chatting with Maeve. Maeve looks miffed about something, who knows what.

Dominick broke the shower…

..Then the computer…

And then went to sing his sorrows away.

To keep him out of further trouble, I send Maeve and Dominick on a date. They only need one more after this to finish Maeve’s aspiration.

They’re both so tired after the date they take naps. That’s right, little simmies.. no passing out on my watch!

Dominick works on his logic skill.

While Maeve hacks some funds into the bank account.

Really??  Who did this…. Sigh.

Dominick decides to read a book the next morning with everyone gone at school or work.

Then he cleans the toilet.. good boy!

Then back to practicing singing and guitar. Guitar he’s getting pretty good at. Singing… not so much. Note the pile of trash in the bathroom behind him.

… Apparently he took it out side and changed into his summer clothes before playing on the chess table.

All the kids come home from school and immediately gravitate to the music. So cute.

Aimee takes care of the mess upstairs. Thank you!

While Andrew wastes time until Maeve gets home for his birthday cake.

Dominick… that’s the kid’s station, you know…?

Andrew grows up, adding the “Hates Children” trait to his “Music Lover” … I sense a grumpy Andrew coming up. I certainly can’t afford to make him his own room at the moment.

Alan: “Mom… why must we watch the cooking channel.. again?!”

Ohhh yeah, work on that video gaming skill.

… Maybe logic will help him a little more at school. The other two kids seem jealous with the time spent with Andrew. Either that or they’re hanging around with the express point of annoying him by being kids.

I do a little remodeling with the funds I have to allow for a slightly bigger dining room and a monkey bars for the kids.

…Then, I have to wait until Dominick gets home from work to pay the bills. But at least they’re paid. That’s the important part.

Who did that…. ?? Sigh.

Andrew wakes up angry because he’s sleeping in the kid’s room.

Maeve gets up early to fix the broken toilet.

Dominick is back in one of his favorite spots..

After school… Aimee’s first reaction is to go buy food on her own in a heat wave. GREAT decision making there. Not too much later, she’s burning to death outside, and I manage to get her back in the house with a “call over” command. Whew. That was close.

Andrew.. if you didn’t stay up all night.. this wouldn’t be an issue…

The quality of these guys’ meals reminds me that Maeve has been slacking on cooking. Better restock the fridge before someone sets the kitchen on fire again.

… Like this guy. He’s watching a movie.

I laughed so hard at this screenshot. It looks like the action figure is cheering him on while he does his homework. Yay!

He then decides to write in the journal I gave each of the kids.. and promptly leaves it on the table for everyone to see when he goes to school. Kids.

Everyone’s gone to school or work… except Dom… and apparently he has an appointment. If I’d been watching closer, I would have made sure they got that last date, but the last two days were so hectic, I completely forgot he was running out of time.

Hugs and eating together in the hall. It would have been so much easier to just stay at the table, but ok.. whatever, guys.

By this time, I have enough to be able to afford an upgrade to Maeve’s horrible cheap bed. Maybe she’ll have more time to get things done with this one.

Uh oh … Alan’s going thru the spirit bear phase. Too funny.

Maeve is still sad about Dominick… but at least she has a comfy place to hide now.

Aimee comes home from school and decides to play on the sidewalk in a heatwave. She really isn’t the smartest of kids.

Much smarter, Alan goes upstairs where it’s cooler to play.

… And Andrew watches another movie.

…Only THIS movie ticks him off so bad he has to take it out on the poor trashcan.

Maeve to the rescue.

Oh no! Teenage cooking! I was going to stop this file after the cinema sins moment.. but now I have to make sure he doesn’t set the house on fire. Also of note: apparently nobody’s cleaned the mess up outside by the monkey bars if you look through the window. LOL.

Whew. He made it. And now, it’s Friday afternoon in game, Alan grows up to teen tomorrow or the next day (I can’t remember which) and this is a great stopping spot.

Not a single penalty. But I did get to add 5 points for Alan’s A at school! So I’m back at zero points. YAY!

Following Emmett’s whims… again.

First sims up are Keira and Madisyn. At 4 AM. Wow. it’s going to be a long morning.

Then Emmett gets a call that Marcus passed away. Oh goodie. Sad moodlet. And on that note.. why is Aya still alive?!?

The girls all start splitting off doing their own thing.

Cristina and Kiera decide to swim in the rain.

A… mopping party?

Emmett fixes the dollhouse.. again.

Whim to calm a sim’s emotions. Jenny’s tense over being lazy and having cleaned the tub. Sigh.. there’s a butler for a reason, Jen.

Then we get whims to be friendly with Claire and make out with her. Well that should be interesting. We’ll see if we can get it done. … No, Emmett, Claire cannot be your girlfriend yet.

Then, Claire starts refusing flirts. This is not going well.

A smooth recovery.. and the sad moodlet fades again.

Still, no option to first kiss… and now he wants to “get to know” her and the option isn’t available. (And bills show up for 16,772… lovely)

I give up on the whims.. it’s ten til two and time to go on the outing with Kiera and Madisyn. (The winners from yesterday’s painting competition.) Since it’s pouring outside, I send them to the restaurant. When we get there, being that it’s in Oasis Springs.. apparently it’s not raining there. Sigh. Could have done the park. Oh well.

Now he wants to kiss Kiera and make out with her. Hm. We’ll see. At least Madisyn went to the bathroom for the moment, so I can flirt it up easily.

Got that first kiss in… and the food arrives. (Note: I love the look on the waiter’s face behind them.. LOL)

Time to try talking to Madisyn too. Turns into one very awkward encounter. Sigh.

After the meal, we get that make out with Keira whim completed…

and since she obviously won this outing (don’t even really have to look at the relationships.. lol), she gets the rose.

Time to go home. But before we go, Keira also gives back the rose. Too funny.

Sign. Then Emmett bugs out and won’t go home. So I switch control to one of the contestants, go back to the house, and bring him there that way. What a pain.

We get back to a quiet house.

… Umm. Kiera.. he’s not yours YET.

Then, Once again, Emmett starts getting a million whims for Claire. Woohoo, flirt, get to know, discuss favorite authors… make up your mind, Emmett. I do get in the first kiss, though…

and why not add a hot tub for Emmett’s first woohoo? Sure. Sounds good to me. Except Claire complains about the naked Emmett in the hot tub. LOL.

Still trying to woo Claire, Keira walks in on them.. and now has a sad moodlet for a day.

Keira disappears inside and Emmett takes full advantage of the new hot tub.

After the woohoo two things happen. The whims dry up.. and it’s time to score for a losing contestant.

With poor Madisyn being the only one without a pink bar.. she’s clearly the one leaving. Sorry, hun.. but I saw it coming with her Unflirty trait. Surprised she lasted this long, to be honest.

Bedtime.

Aww. Ali decides to visit. I don’t see him very often. He proceeds to repeatedly break the master bath’s shower for the butler to come fix. I counted four times overnight. Laughed so hard, too. Poor butler.

Only other thing of interest overnight: Claire is already dreaming of babies.

Author’s Note: I’m left with the four least objectionable sets of traits left in the house. So I’m happy. Only Jenny has ones I’m not fond of, and she’s so pretty I’d be okay with it even if she does win. I have no idea how the rest of this is going to turn out, but I’m excited to see! Will publish two more competition days tomorrow.

Today’s goals:

House 007 Part One Day 2:
8 AM: Painting competition
2 PM: Group Outing with the four lowest painters
5 PM: Give a rose to the contestant with the highest relationship
on this outing
6 PM: return home
Kick out one contender (lowest relationship score on outing)
12 AM: Bedtime

Again, we follow Emmett’s whims…. of which, so far he’s had none for the contestants.

First thing, he makes breakfast, and several contestants hurriedly use the restroom before the competition.

and we have a tie for first.. but at least the lowest four are definite. Jenny paints a $44, Claire paints a $57, Mariam paints a $60, and Cristina paints a $62. The two winners with a $64 are Kiera and Madisyn.

So, now we have time before the group outing, so I’ll try to get everyone a social and a flirt, going down the list.

Jenny chats with us, but it also busy complaining of hunger pains, so I don’t keep her for very long. She also becomes the first with a romantic bar.

Claire is next since she’s done in the bathroom.. and she gets her pink bar, too.

By now, Emmett’s starting to get into the swing of things and is nice and flirty… so we track down Mariam… who is dancing with Cristina. No bar for her, since she refuses one of the two flirts.

Emmett’s thinking nooboos already. LOL he’s daydreaming of diapers between conversations.

Cristina’s next since she’s right here.. and she gets a romance bar, too.

Madisyn at first gets annoyed, but after a sincere apology, she accepts a flirt. Still no bar though.

Last, but not least, we track down Kiara. She gets her romance bar, too.

It’s here I realize I’ve never bothered to put in the nightclub or the park… so I hurry to do both before the group outing. I used the ones I built for the first drifter that I did.

Then, it’s off to the nightclub with Jenny, Claire, Mariam, and Cristina.

It takes me forever to get all of them in one conversation, but I do manage it. Everyone is dancing, and seems to be having a good time… except for maybe Emmett…?

Finally, Emmett gets his first whim for a contestant.. he wants to “get to know” Jenny. Can do that. Jenny blows him a kiss back.

Then, he wants to use a bold pick up line on someone.. so I choose Mariam, since she’s the only one without a pink bar.

Claire and Cristina do not look pleased by this.

Some more chatting and dancing and it’s time to go home.

By the thinnest of margins, Mariam gets kicked out and Jenny gets the rose.

Before any of that, everyone is hungry, so I have Emmett make everyone a grilled cheese.

Gameplay is to follow Emmett’s whims and wishes.. so this should be interesting. Not a game play style I’m very good at – at all… I always forget to look at the whims! Before doing anything else, I pause, and change a couple things in the house (adding sprinklers and locking some doors the contestants don’t need to be getting into – hence why I replaced some of the arches with doors. From my last attempt, I found it easier to talk to everyone if they weren’t scattered over the house playing with all the expensive toys during the challenge.)

As the last time I played this, I’m going to aim for a few socials and then one flirt with each contestant before the 4 pm cut-off. Probably going to aim for 4 socials, since I don’t have a huge amount of time. Whims he starts with are: Cannonball into the pool, Play in the Rain, and Use a workout machine at the gym. All incredibly un-helpful.

So, we immediately talk to Claire.. who seems friendly enough, and accepts all socials and flirt.

Shana… has found the house’s graveyard, so we try to console her and have a chat at the same time.

She, however, refuses the flirt… and gets embarrassed.

While looking for Jenny, Madisyn is busy playing with the dollhouse.. and Jenny comes in to smash it. For shame!

Which sends Madisyn into hysterical crying.

Jenny accepts the chats and the flirts.. on to Mariam.

Flirt accepted… Kiera’s turn. Also note: Aya is still here, and still alive. I know when I moved her out her age bar was sparkling. All three of those who I moved out seemed to want to hang out around the house all day/night. I had no option to “ask to leave”, so I just tried to ignore them best I could. No idea why they haven’t left.

Flirt also accepted on Kiara’s part… and since Cristina’s right here and I’m running out of time, we’ll talk to her THEN track down the last contestant, Madisyn. (also: what’s up with Claire’s dirty look there in the corner of the picture??)

Flirt accepted, and Madisyn shows up in the TV room, too, so that makes finding her a lot easier. (Still no useful whims.. buy a hottub, buy a bee box, ect.) – at least Claire seems to be in a better mood now..?

Flirt refused. I figured as much since she’s unflirty. She even got a bit hostile about it. I don’t have high hopes for poor Madisyn.

Time for the party! I choose a costume party, because they’re funny. Apparently I have to end talk like a pirate day first.. but at least the event was successful for Emmett.

Lots of talking about costumes.. the mixologist nicely finishes the making the buffalo tea goal.. and the caterer finishes  another goal. He doesn’t seem to be making a dessert, though, so I send Emmett to do it. And with that.. the party’s over – silver medal. Not bad.

Jenny Winston clearly wins, while Shana McKnight clearly loses. Off to flirt with Jenny. I choose the romantic gift give a rose, and she doesn’t like it, apparently.

She does accept the flirt, though. And now.. it’s bed time!
