Welcome/Contents/Links | Chapter 1.1
General Rules:
- CC is fine, but using mods in a way that gives you unbalanced advantages is not.
- Due to a shortage of the availability of birth control, the world is overpopulated. The government puts strict limits in effect: Sims may only have one child per household.
- There can only be one baby per generation, unless you randomly get twins/triplets (Fertile trait and On Ley Line lot traits are not allowed). If that happens, the eldest will be heir/heiress, and you may not control the others at all throughout their lives. Upon YA-hood, all non-heirs must move out immediately.
- Homes are limited to one room in the house per occupant. For example, a house with just the founder will be a studio with everything open (half-walls are allowed, however). A house with the founder, his spouse, and his child can have a kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom. When the founder grows old and passes on, you do not have to delete a room now that you have one less sim in the house, but the next time you add a sim to the household, that existing room is claimed by the new sim, and another may not be added.
- The family may move to different towns or lots, but the room rule must apply, so if you move just your heir to a new lot, he’ll be back down to a one-room house again.
Points:
- – 5 for each restriction broken
- 100 points for finishing all 10 generations
- 1 point per $100,000 the family has accrued
- 1 point per each skill maxed per generation (by any family member)
Mini-Challenges I’m taking:
- Roll the Dice: Give yourself 5 extra points if you randomize traits of all children for the whole challenge (minus the required traits following the crossroads). You can still do this mini-challenge if you choose to have a passed-down family trait, as long as you roll for all the rest of the traits besides the family trait.
- “Every family has one…”: This mini challenge is in addition to the Roll the Dice challenge. Give yourself 1 point for each sim who rolls the Erratic trait.
- “No well-behaved woman ever made history.”: Can you make your challenge into a Matriarchy? Must use strawberries to try and give birth to girls so each generation can have an heiress. The use of mods to tamper with gender does not count! 10 points
- Gnome Mania: Give yourself one point for each gnome on the family lot by the end of the challenge. Additionally, give yourself one point for each TYPE of gnome the family has collected. These are the gnomes you will receive during HarvestFest so do not cancel the holiday!
- Hoarder: An extra 10 points for each completed collection the family has ON the lot at the end of the challenge.
- Senility: Elders may not be controlled directly throughout the challenge. 5 points
- Doing it the Hard Way: Give yourself 10 points if you did not use any aspiration rewards during the challenge.
- Creature Comforts: 3 points for each type of creature which joins your family’s household at any point in the challenge (Ghost, Vampire, Alien).
- Beautifully Decorated: If you have a sim in the painting career, every 3rd piece of artwork MUST be placed somewhere in the home. 5 points
- Pet Legacy: 10 points if you start the challenge with a pet (or the founder adopts one) and carry its line all the way until the end.
- DIY: No handyman may be called at any time during the challenge; all broken appliances, plumbing, and electronics must be fixed by someone in the household. No maid or butler may be hired. Nannies are not allowed, but daycare is – you have to work, after all. 5 points
- Love the One You’re With: 5 points if all spouses are found within the town and not created for the heir(ess) in CAS.

First, we check on our brand-new goals…
Set #41 - Dog Trainer (Cats & Dogs) - Claire Ireland - (Heir)
Complete the Friend of the Animals aspiration
Have a pet with 1500 Simstagram followers
Level 5 Pet Training skill
Train one of your dogs with all tricks possible
Have one of your dogs have puppies
Set #55 - Handisim - Cody Orlando - (spouse)
Complete the Renaissance Sim Aspiration
Master the Handiness Skill
Create All Woodworking Objects in Excellent Quality
Upgrade 20 Objects
Decorate with 10 Woodworking Objects
More about said spouse in a moment….
Second thing, we run Claire through CAS:

Third, we make her spouse (as per rules, if they’re going to work on a goal set, they have to be made by me!) I went with a lumberjack vibe for him because he’s going to be a Handisim.

Fourth, and perhaps most importantly – we move them to a bigger, nicer, brighter house for pictures. It’s not AS big as the one I tried last generation, and this house has a lawn. Which we need for dog training. It’s also in Brindleton Bay, which will be nice for the pets wandering around. This house is also not built by me, but I do quite a bit of remodeling. Shown here:

The house pre-makeover

The addition (basically, the kitchen rotated and moved over to the other side of the house.)

Expanded area for a greenhouse

Overhead view of the upstairs.

Basement for collections. Eventually.

The backyard view of the house. (The featured pic for this post is the front yard version)

The addition with some furniture.

Proof #1 that I brought our collections with us.

Proof #2 – this is also a view, if you look closely, at the new “office” walls, and you can see the new basement stairs.
And, FINALLY.. it’s time to get playing. Been waiting for this since last play rotation, and it’s been tough waiting! I’ve never completed either of these aspirations, so this will be all new for me. Plus, puppies… what’s not to love there!?

Cody and Claire getting acquainted. Gotta start somewhere!

… And we don’t manage to get them to boyfriend/girlfriend by the time it’s bedtime, unfortunately. But fortunately, there’s a lot of beds in this house. They’re friends, at least, but the flirts kept failing.

Cody getting to know his future mother-in-law over breakfast.

Cody getting through his “read three books” goal for his aspiration.

Time to make nice, guys. No more flirt fails. (Spoiler: there’s quite a few more flirt fails.)

Finally. A flirt worked. I had to get both of them flirty first. Weird.

First kiss!

… (Please work please work…)

Hooray!

And we got them hitched finally. That took forever, it felt like.

The wedding night…

The next day is Winterfest… and Cody surprises his new wife with a puppy. Meet Shiloh! (Loyal, Active, Jumpy) Also, the game calls him a “Silky Terrier”.

Claire meets Shiloh… and immediately decides we need more dogs.

Tasha would be the other tiny puppy. (Loyal, Active, Adventurous) and a Parson Russel Terrier. The big floofball is Queen Cupcake… who got adopted because of her name… and someone on boolprop Discord said I should definitely adopt her. She’s a Chow-Lab mix, and is Active, Loyal, and Troublemaker. What are the odds that I got three Active and Loyal dogs on the first pass through the adoption page?? I learn – very quickly – that the troublemaker trait is a GODSEND for training out bad traits for Claire’s aspiration.

Claire meets “Queenie” while the adoption agent looks snobby.

Meeting Tasha. Queenie doesn’t look particularly pleased with having two puppies underfoot.

But she loves her new owner!!

… And did I mention that 1, Shiloh is ADORABLE.. and 2, he’s going to be our “Simstagram” pet-target. Goal is ultimately to get that crazy high number of 1500 subscribers… and not to get sick of taking Shiloh pictures.

Decorating the tree. Cody was too busy reading a book, and Claire was.. chasing pets around. Obviously.

… And this is why Active is such a troublesome trait. The pets are running wild … like.. ALL the time.

At about midnight, I finally get some time for everyone to sit down for presents. Got a karaoke machine and some other small stuff…. none of which they need, since they have more than 700k in the bank.

Brent looks particularly pleased with himself.

… And he should. He just got that last point pretty much autonomously!

Another adorable Simstagram picture. Shows how tiny these puppies really are.

Jeez, buddy, take some medicine! You look horrifying!

Autonomously – while Claire and I chase pets around… again… (still?) – Cody and Brent decide to play Juice Pong… and Brent wins. Also – why is Brent in his undies or outerwear almost all the time in these pictures??

Time for some training. On a filthy dog. Priorities. Also, I decided Cupcake here will be our well-trained dog with all the tricks. Should be interesting getting a Troublemaker dog to be fully trained.

One of the best pet pics I’ve ever taken. Shiloh is just such a cutie. I can’t resist.

With that troublemaker trait, Queenie is ALWAYS dirty.

Shiloh is a little jealous of all the attention/training that Queenie gets.

Shiloh – all grown up… and able to take stairs all by himself. (Finally!!) Taking him (and Tasha) up and down the stairs to potty has been such a headache.

And Tasha’s all grown up, too! Going to wait for puppies until after Brent and Brynn are gone and the heir is born, though, I think… just to make sure we don’t overfill the household and make it so we can’t have an heir.

Learning to lay down. Not sure what Brent is doing, but he’s in his underwear.. again.

Shake!

Cody …. that’s NOT how you cook grilled cheese. No standing on the stove, buddy. Which reminds me. I never bought them a fire alarm. Oops.

He then complains that he’s filthy. I send him to take a shower, and he comes back to make himself a breakfast pastry on his own. I approve. Of course, he then gets a moodlet complaining that it was cold in the middle – but at least there was no more fires.

Claire meeting a couple of strays for her “5 pet friends” requirement for her aspiration.

Why do Sims 4 pets get filthy so often? I seem to be giving baths all the time!!

*points* There’s another dirty dog. And it’s New Years. Claire officially misses the countdown because she’s too busy bathing pets.

… But at least Cody gets there in time. (Also: both boys are in their outerwear. .. why??)
And.. that’s the end of the week. I managed to get to 250+ Simstagram followers for Shiloh, and have most of the second tier of Cody’s aspiration, and well into the third tier of Claire’s. Cody is currently waiting for his first day of work to start getting promotions… while Claire is WAY too busy with pets to ever think of getting a job. It’s not like they actually need the money!

We start with the wedding night. Where Bruce decides to sleep in the girls’ room…. by himself. Even though I set him to sleep in the master bedroom. Sigh.
Also, since I didn’t introduce Bruce to you last post, I’ll do that here.

With the insider trait, he should be happy to be part of our Mischief Inc. club. He, obviously, won’t be getting very far with his Joke Star aspiration, and the Slob might be annoying, but I liked his looks so much I’ll deal with it.

First thing in the morning, he jumps on the computer. I decide he’s going to use his one action to get a job, so I go and roll for a job for him…

Well.. he won’t be getting far with that career without being able to do anything on his own, but at least it’ll be some income.

He doesn’t look happy with joining the work force.

He then spends the rest of the morning following poor Becca around while she works around the house – because there’s always stuff to do around an ISBI house.

Spoiler: this is one of the last times this post you see him sleeping. (foreshadowing)

I take them to a miserably rainy Humor and Hijinks fest.. and with them being miserable, they only tie. The first time I haven’t actually won at that fest in quite a while. We still get a little bit in the way of funds, though, which is okay by me.. and they come home soaked and filthy.

Oh, Becca. *frown* -5

Thanks Dominic? (Also: Why is Alan eating in the boys’ bedroom? Who knows.)

Socializing with his Dad-in-law while watching some TV and eating. You know, Sims multitasking.

Becca hiring some services. We’ll have to pay for them, but that’s ok. Less work for her, at least.

Really? Right in the laundry pile?? Poor Becca’s not going to be happy to come home from work tonight.

Grim complaining about the mess. Which I thought was hilarious.

Meeting the brother-in-law.

Hi Ashley! Thanks for cleaning!

Finding new club members. This fella looked like he might want to make some Mischief, so we invited him. Now we just need one more club member (and the points to get one) to have the eight members for her aspiration.

The next club gathering. At some random bar.

Then, while chatting to other people.. I get a notice that Bruce is getting into his first fight. LOL .. well okay.

Then some chick wants to get angry at Becca’s (admittedly) bad jokes… and everyone’s already watching.

She throws the first punch, but Becca is certainly willing to hit back. Oh, and if you’re paying attention, you see our sister is also in the club. Hey, she asked!

Love Day! These guys are so cute together.

And here’s where my nightmare begins. -5 He got OUT of bed to pass out.

-5 … sigh. Maybe the computer just kept him from getting to bed?

No, it was definitely not the computer this time. -5 … oh, and welcome back Alan.

Yes, if you’re looking closely, there’s laundry on the floor. Why they keep ending up on the floor I don’t know. It’s not like the hampers are full??

Well, Bruce, that looks unpleasant. Your wife tries to woohoo you to sleep.. and you walk around the bed to pass out in the laundry. -5

-5 … At this point I’m starting to wonder if there’s some glitch, I try resetting him.. that doesn’t work. He won’t nap, he won’t sleep.. he just gets up from the floor, uses up his energy, and the passes out again.

See? … Using up the energy. By playing basketball in the garden?

-5 … WHAT IS IT WITH THE LAUNDRY!!?!? .. Oh yeah, Bruce is sleeping again. On the floor.

…. *crying* (And no I’m not laughing at this point.) -5

So, I try making coffee. Bruce isn’t interested. -5

Another computer vs. sleep issue. Must be. *nod* -5 (I relate, just for info. The computer is usually where I’m at when I can’t sleep!)

Angela Pleasant shows up at our door. I wonder in my head whether it’s because her sister is in our club, and she’s offended by it. Just to be safe, I pickpocket her and tick her off. She looks appropriately offended, don’t you think?

Wait… he’s actually drinking coffee??

I bought a new bed… and he immediately goes to bed. What the heck? Was the bed bugged?!! *shrug* … then why didn’t he use any of the OTHER beds in the house. Or the couches?? ARGH… At least he’s sleeping. At this point, I’m done with this save. I wait until Becca comes home, send her to bed, too… and quickly save…. and exit. *cringe* Now it’s time to count up points. -50 from passing out. 45 of those from Bruce alone. I’m starting to regret this marriage. LOL.

And… here’s where we start!! I’m so excited about this. I love new generations! It’s 1 PM on New Year’s Day for my little Simmies.. so we’re starting off the year right.. with a new Torch Holder.
We start by having her get her Criminal job as per her roll.. and reassigning beds in the house. I have totally never even LOOKED at this club aspiration that Becca has, so this will be interesting.
Poor Becca starts out with fixing things. Ah, the trevails of an ISBI TH.

While looking through her stats.. I notice this. *chuckles* I told you she and that cat didn’t get along!

Alan, is, apparently, living it up outside with New Year’s Toasts. The other guy looks completely uninterested.

… And the never-ending laundry begins. At least I had Alan upgrade these fully, so they’re not dangerous.

The poor garden’s in quite a state.. so Becca spends most the afternoon fixing it.

Oh, really Alan??? You couldn’t come across the street??

-5

Brittney shows up. She hasn’t been gone that long, and she already misses home, I see.

Zander, the first Young Adult we’ve seen all day. We run to meet him, get some traits and such.. but I’m gonna keep looking.

Since her aspiration is club-related, we start our own club. Lots of naughty things on the list of things to do. But she’s evil, so she should be happy about it!

Becca’s older brother, Brandon, invites Becca out to Single’s Night at the bar, and we accept readily. Maybe we’ll find some more prospects.

Well, Hello there, Bruce. (And no, he’s not an alien, he’s glowing from the polite handshake.) I like his looks.. so I invite him to the club, and he accepts. We spend a while getting to know him.

“Happy New Years!”

Becca autonomously sabotages the coffee maker. I approve.

Bruce takes care of the jukebox.

Darrel Charm joins the club. I’m discounting him from prospective suitors, though, because 1, he’s a townie and 2, he’s a spellcaster. Not sure I want to deal with a spellcaster ISBI spouse.

Insulting/instigating Lilith Vatore. I love the look on her face.

Double-fisting drinks. Way to go, Becca. (She desperately needed energy, and I didn’t want to risk losing points so I fed her a sleep replacer.)

Then, while I wasn’t paying attention, she gets into her first fight. All on her own.

This fight was my doing, but I love how everyone is cheering her on, even the bartender.

More sabotaging. We made sure to USE it first, though, since she needed to go.

And.. yep.. we stayed up ALL night with a club gathering. This is that Zander I met earlier, I brought him to the bar so we could get to know him a little better. They’re doing a club handshake for aspiration points.

Becca sure seems to be having a good time. I’ve certainly never seen a sim do THAT on their own before!

We dare Zander to streak. He does. Haha.

Pickpocketing is so easy now that I’ve bought the perk that makes mischief interactions easier for club gatherings.

Becca’s still wearing her shades to make her first breakfast. Must have been a long night.

Brittney stops over again, so we go say “hi”.

Alan also goes outside to visit with his absentee daughter.

I have them play a round of hoops (the girls, not Alan, of course).

… Brittney is apparently a sore loser. But then, we knew that.

Alan is NOT impressed with her kicking over our trashcan.

I finally stop waffling over who to marry/move in, and invite Bruce over. Neither had a “leg up” on traits, but I liked Bruce’s looks better, so Bruce it is. He comes over all bored, but is happy within moments of talking to us. A good sign, I think.

He’s in love! *grin*

First kiss.. but not going to be the last. I love Alan in the background pretending to read his book while giving his daughter and her beau the side-eye.

Woohoo! Literally.

Please say yes??

Success!!

And, as is tradition, we get married on the spot. In the bathroom, this time. Neither seem to mind.
This is only halfway through the week, but I had too many pictures, so you’ll see them next update. Points check:

**ON HIATUS**
I’ve been planning on starting this for a while, but have been holding off. Testing my willpower, I guess. Obviously, it didn’t work for long, because here I am. This is a challenge from the Boolprop forums that is sorta like a history challenge mixed with an apocalypse challenge mixed with a choose your own adventure book. At this time, my plan is to blog it in sorta a cross between diary entries and commentary. We’ll see how that goes, though. This page is set up as the index of all chapters, and the Prologue will delineate the challenges and mini-challenges for the whole process. Each Generation’s first chapter will go through the goals for that generation. With that being said… here goes nothing.
Update: this is more or less on hold due to streaming full time now. I do want to get back to it, but it may take me a while.

… And here’s the second part of the week (in which we say goodbye to one twin, finish the generation, and count up our points) … and I’m sorry, apparently I forgot to publish this!.. so we’ll publish it today. No way am I waiting until next rotation to play the beginning of this generation when I’ve been waiting all this time already. LOL.

The girls standing around randomly when there’s a perfectly good dining room just down the hall. GO USE IT!

Um.. you don’t need logic skills… but thanks anyway?

.. I’m not sure Becca is happy about being chosen for heir. She takes it out on poor Calico.

Hi Dominic! Please don’t break everything! (Spoiler: he doesn’t)

They finally find their own beds… but it is bedtime, not naptime, Becca. Sigh. Sims.

Dominic finds his favorite thing. Yup, I still have your old guitar.. no worries, old man.

Decorating the tree for Winterfest. I get the girls involved, because they weren’t doing anything important anyway.

Brittney meets Aimee.. in the middle of a rainstorm. Sure.. whatever floats your boat.

Making ham dinner.. apparently Alan felt the need to spin the turkey basters in the air? .. Haha.

See? I TOLD you that there was a dining room!

Opening presents. I love Brittney’s goofy smile.

Alan apparently really liked his present. Although I couldn’t tell you what it was. LOL.

Becca.. you don’t need to do your homework.. but thanks anyway.

Dance party! Spoiler: neither one are very good at it.

Thanks for my present, Father Winter… although it was just another Lump of Clay. Which I promptly sold.

Aww. Hi Ashley. We’ve missed you!

Breakfast before school.

For some reason, Alan looks very confused at what he’s doing in this picture.
“It’s broken.. so I’m supposed to fix it with a remote control??”

The girls come home from work. Neither is in a great mood.

Oh, Britt.. don’t cook… *worries about random cooking fires*

Thank goodness. It was just a BLT. No cooking involved.
Brittney: “What did you think I was going to burn down the house?”
.. Yep.

Dom is definitely our most frequent haunter. This is him finally using that book that I rescued from floating above the couch last chapter.

You know… you need a shower. Not to play a chess game. But I guess that’s ok..

Brittney goes first. Alan looks upset. His babies are all grown up! Just think, old man, now you get a break!

+10 for positive traits!

Brittney gets her Astronaut job… and moves out of the house. We’ll miss you, Britt!

And.. it’s TIME!!

+10 for positive traits, -5 for negative. Wait.. I actually got a negative trait? That’s a first. Sorta makes sense with her traits, though.
And, here’s Alan’s end-of-generation stats:

Not too bad on the funds, but I do worry about them being able to afford bills in this huge house. I may get Becca that “frugal” trait. (But then I’d veto some points… hmm…)

Chapter 2.3 | Rules for this challenge | Chapter 2.5
Generation Two: Brown
Appearance: Brown hair, unkempt clothing style
Traits: Loves Outdoors, Loner, Child of the Island
Aspiration: Beach Life
Occupation: Conservationist
House Goal: 20,000 worth
A Family Grows
Since Kali was born, I’ve been so busy I’ve barely had time to socialize, so when Mom and Dad came over for a visit and brought an island feast, I was overjoyed. I’m so glad my parents are around to see their grandkids growing.

We spent an enjoyable evening together, and I think they really liked getting to meet Kali. For a change, she was well-behaved and barely cried all night.

The next day, however, it was back to the grind of being a parent. The laundry line broke, so I was outside fixing it when a storm blew in. It quickly went from just rain into a real Monsoon, and I hurried back indoor.
Luckily, Aleki didn’t have to go meet any clients while it was storming, and was able to do all his work from home. We’ve really both been working hard to make money for another expansion to the house. With Kali growing up soon, we’ll need the extra room.

I’ve been slacking on my aspiration – which is currently to do a lot of beach-combing and grilling, so after the storm passed, I spent some time digging in the sand. Didn’t find much in the dark, though, so I’ll have to do some more in the coming days while I’m out surveying the land for work. Needing to grill stuff is another reason we’re upgrading the house – we’ll finally be getting a real deck to relax on by the ocean!

Kali had her birthday, and grew up to be a real silly girl. She seems to be getting into everything at once, and I wonder how my parents made it through the toddler stages. I’ll be glad when I’m not chasing her around the house anymore. … Or do you always end up chasing your kids, I wonder?

Parenting is a never-ending task, it seems.. and keeping up with the household chores just makes each day exhausting. I count myself lucky that we finally are getting a bigger house, but taking care of it is seeming like a monumental task.

Kali is progressing quickly in her skills, though. She loves playing with blocks, and the dollhouse we got her seems to be one of her favorite toys. I read her to sleep each night, and Aleki comes in to give her a goodnight kiss, too.

Speaking of Aleki, we take what time we can together, and he’s really been an amazing partner. He seems to always be there when I need him, and he tries to help around the house as much as he can.

I’ve been feeling sick to my stomach lately, though, which means more cleaning.. but it could also mean something else. I steel myself for what the reaction might be… and I go to tell Aleki.

“Guess what?”
Aleki was concerned that it seems like we JUST had Kali, and he knows we’ll have to deal with two toddlers at once, but he was excited at the same time. The prospect of a new baby keeps me with a smile on my face – despite the fact that I seem to be far more sick this pregnancy than I was the last time.

With the big expansion to the house, We also ordered a fish pond built for Aleki. He’s really been working hard, getting commissions on almost a daily basis, sometimes more than one a day, and I decided that he deserved a treat just for him. When the pond was finally done, he was overjoyed to stock it full of Koi fish. He spent hours in the pet store picking out just the right one – while I tried wrangling Kali away from the hamsters and small pets.

Speaking of his work, he’s really been doing well. His commissions are often more than a couple thousand dollars, which means neither of us are really worrying about being able to pay the bills and take care of our growing family. That really takes a load off of our shoulders, and is MUCH appreciated.

Harvestfest arrived with very little fanfare, and Aleki let me sleep in. I’ve been so tired, I really needed the break. When I did wake, it was midafternoon, and I found Kali and Aleki quietly playing in her room, trying very hard not to wake me. It was so sweet.

Aleki says his “Zen” moment every day is when he goes out to feed his new fish – and I can definitely see that he is glad for the opportunity to get out of the house.

The expansion was finished today, and both of us are overjoyed.

We now have a full dining room, and a living room to gather in with friends and family.

The kitchen, also, got a couple upgrades, and I have some upper cabinets to store things in, now.

I adore the new deck area, and I plan to have a house party over the weekend to invite the family to see our new house and .. well, just get together. It’s been a while, and I want to spend some time with them.

The house expansion was finished none too soon, because late that night I went into labor. With Kali asleep in the next room, we decided to do a home birth, and Aleki tried very hard (and unsuccessfully) not to panic.

Before long, though, our son Jayce was born… and both of us were thrilled to put him to bed for the night and get some more sleep ourselves.

Kali seems to like the house expansion as much as we do, and spends a lot of time wandering around the new room, curiously touching everything. Luckily, none of the new knick-knacks are breakable, and she’s been surprisingly gentle with them.

To top off the week, Aleki got a record commission of almost 4 thousand dollars! It was an amazing thing, and I’m so glad his talent is finally being really rewarded. With commissions like that, he’ll be able to spend less time working, and more time with the kids, which is never a bad thing.
(A/N: This family is too cute. They’re very close to each other, and seem to really enjoy spending time together. Both parents are doing well in their careers, and the house is WAY past the monetary goal for the generation. I just need a couple more promotions for Kimber, and to finish her aspiration, and then it’ll be all about raising the kids. Oh, one other note – I did give little Kali a makeover and change her hair color with thoughts to the next generation’s theme – red – so if you’re wondering where the red hair came from, that’s where. I will let Jacye grow up into whatever clothes and colors EA gives him, but it just made sense to start Kali’s theme early so that it won’t be a huge abrupt change in hair color when she grows up.) Lastly, this story was not only nominated for a golden plumbbob, but we won Best Legacy!

House 011 Chapter 2 < | > House 011 Chapter 4
First, we check on our goals so we don’t forget:
House 011 Building Goals:
2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom home worth at least $50k Simoleons (60k)
*Include a designated party space
House 011 Generational Goals:
Complete the Master Mixologist Aspiration (3/4 done)
Achieve Level 10 of the Mixologist branch of the Culinary Career (lvl 7)
Craft Each one of the following potions:
Confident, Energized, Flirty, Focused, Happy, and Inspired
Raise the heir to Young Adult age and give them the Mean trait
…And yes, you see correctly. I already have house value done even though the house is nowhere close to done.
Then, let’s post the few pictures I have from the last play session (because I got into toddler wrangling mode and forgot to stop on time)..

I would say you finally get to see Lyric here, but the hat sorta hides her. It looks like she’s contemplating the broken sink.

Aww. Ariana is such a good mom. She loves her little girl.

I love this treehouse dollhouse, it’s so cute.

We FINALLY get to see Lyric. She’s SO cute!! Even if she IS having a temper tantrum. Poor Blaze just got home from work, and is stressed and filthy.. so this was like the last straw. I sent him to bed and trusted Ariana to care for Lyric.

.. Which she does, quite capably.

Until Lyric decides to work on her imagination skill. And that finishes the pics from the last session. Time to play!

Poor Ariana’s back is killing her from the pregnancy.. and Lyric is stinky again.

Dad takes care of the toddler.. and while I had hoped that Ariana would take care of herself, she doesn’t quite make it to napping. She does that quite a bit this week.

It’s baby time!

Welcome Lyla! Hopefully she’ll be as cute as her sister.

Having fun with daddy. Note the empty bedroom behind them. I’ll get to it. I promise!

Blaze’s birthday. He’s now an official Adult.

Guys… there’s a place to sit and eat your Grand Breakfast for Winterfest just behind you. You don’t have to stand around. I make a note to do the dining room sooner rather than later.
Since it’s Winterfest, and they obviously need a tree.. and there’s no real place to put it but the unfinished livingroom…. I go ahead and finish the living room for them.

I think this house is turning out REALLY nicely. Definitely one of my favorite drifter builds.

Ariana finds the fireplace right away and warms herself. At which point I notice that they don’t have a thermostat and are freezing their rears off. I fix that.

Decorating for Winterfest. This is the first time I’ve noticed you can actually pick different tree colors when you buy a tree… Silly me has never noticed before and wondered how everyone else was getting snowy trees.

Blaze gets a Karaoke Machine, which I promptly sell… although considering I need a party space, maybe I should have kept it. I guess I can always buy a new one, right? This picture also shows the effect of the “sunny” aspect the house traits have. Ariana is always “energized”.. so she forgets to nap.. and the passing out is what eventually happens. Not my favorite lot trait. Lastly.. Lyric is toddling past the Harvestfest gnome – which – believe it or not, is STILL spitting out seed packets. I get rid of it before too long, because it just seems cheaty.

Blaze desperately needs to work on his Mixology skill, but he hardly ever has time. I hired a maid, by the way, with his “free services”.. because they need one.

Ariana takes such good care of the babies. Although Lyric could have just as easily grabbed the food off the counter, but whatever. Note the seed packet. I wasn’t kidding.

Try for Baby success! (foreshadowing .. this may have been a bad idea – you’ll see why.)

Could be worse. I don’t mind the Wild trait.

Blaze, honey, you make adorable kidlets. I’m totally in love with Lyla and Lyric.
Since we have a hefty bank account, and need another bed for the new toddler… I spend some time finishing some rooms.
First – the study:

Then, the dining room I promised them:

And, lastly, the second bathroom:

I STILL have two rooms empty and the party area to do, and I’m at like 84k value. This is crazy!

AWW!

Ariana … helping out instead of napping, again.

Dinner time! I simply love these toddlers.

Uh-oh. Pouty toddler escaping. Wonder where she’s going?

Playing in the snow, of course.

Man down! But at least he got the toddlers in bed first!?

I start putting in “party supplies” and Ariana seems to completely approve.

Heyy! Someone’s actually using the dining room!

“Broc-col-i”
“…Why?”
.. Clearly this is not a vegetarian household. LOL.

Blaze, I think you got that backwards. That’s where the toddler is supposed to be.

Computer is apparently a hit, as well.

Jeez. Haven’t even had the TV for a week, and they’re already breaking it.

And.. another parent down. Poor guys. This is not going to be that last time we see her like this, I foresee.

THERE’S that Wild side to Lyla. She looks like she’s having a good time, though.

.. The bed is RIGHT THERE!!! I really am counting myself lucky that this isn’t an ISBI.

Lyric’s birthday!

For being “fussy” she really wasn’t that fussy. And she didn’t get Top Notch Toddler, but at least she got Happy Toddler.

Such pretty eyes. (And the cheer is because it’s New Skill Day.)
I take a break to make a room for Lyric.. because she needs a place to sleep. Which leaves us the party space to finish and the third bathroom.

Loving this house!!

Oops. I keep pushing him to the very ends of his stat bars, and sometimes he pays the price.

It’s baby time!!!!!!

…. OHHHH .. Noooo. I was NOT planning on twins!

Taking a look at the calendar, I’ll have three whole days of having three uncontrollable toddlers. I have Blaze chug a moodlet solver. He’s going to need one.
What are the babies’ names? I’ll leave you in suspense. I will say one’s a boy and one’s a girl, though. And If Blaze and Ariana’s genes continue, they’re going to be adorable. See you next time!

Back to this family’s Introduction | Week Two coming soon
First off, let me say I’m glad to be finally pulling this save off of hiatus. Granted, I’m not quite done with setting up their database and the introduction pages, but it’s WAY past time for me to get back to playing them.
With that being said, let’s get back to business.

Azalea’s and Leaf’s first interaction. He’s telling a joke, but it looks like he’s making fun of her.

Azalea looks ridiculously happy that he’s getting a job. As I stated in this couple’s intro, he’s going into the entertainment music industry, and she got a job in education.

She’s a romantic, so I let her start the relationship, now that they’re friends.

They get together ridiculously easy, with not a single failed interaction the entire time.

She she wants to find her Soulmate, I have them do their first date on that first night. I take them to a restaurant. For some reason, he keeps getting up to talk to the people at the next table… but finally, he settles down.

Don’t remember what I got them to eat, but other than looking like a tiny bit of food, it looks tasty.

Steaming up the restaurant. *wink* I also decide not to get her pregnant on the very first night, so they just woohoo when they get home (and get officially married.)

Tutoring online for her work task. I send her to work instead of working from home, because she’ll gain promotions faster with her “working hard” at work, at least at the beginning.

I find Leaf spends WAY too much time in his heart boxers for my peace of mind. Eventually I start forcing him into outfits. I can’t tell you how much of the week he spent in his boxers playing piano/violin, though, but it was a lot.

Making fruit salad for her new hubby for their first breakfast together.

She looks too cute with her little chipmunk cheeks while eating!

Yup, he’s actually wearing clothes. Because I made him.

Time to start a family! Gotta fill up this big house somehow!

Blossom coming down the stairs to find Leaf putting up the outside decorations for Winterfest.. surprise.. in his undies.

A Grand breakfast, then they spend a good portion of the afternoon decorating the two trees I bought them.

Spoiler: They don’t get anything interesting or valuable. But I have to try anyway.

Oh, poor Azalea’s back seems to be hurting from the pregnancy, but at least Leaf is helping to clean up the kitchen!

Both of them are doing pretty well in their careers, although Leaf is ahead by one promotion.

I get tired of her constantly going outside to grade the kid’s homework for her teacher job, so I buy her a desk indoors, and put her statue that she got for Winterfest on it. He can help her grade papers. I find it ridiculously cute that they actually mark on the paper with red ink while grading, too.

Oof. That face. Baby time, huh? Leaf is at work, and I don’t want to bring him home for this, so she heads to the hospital on her own.

I think she’s a very pretty sim. Probably why I keep taking pictures of her that I don’t really need to take.

The delivery goes well, although I find it hilarious that she finds out that the doctor works at the hospital while she’s in labor. Really? I didn’t know.

Leaf meets his son, Edward.

Leaf serenades Azalea on his own, proving that these two are a great combination.

Just before switching households, it’s Edward’s birthday, so I age him up. As usual, he’s a really cute toddler. It’s a good thing they’re cute, because they really can be a pain, right?

Back to Chapter 3.3 | On to Chapter 4.1
First, we check on our goals…
Set #16 – Retail Mogul (Get to Work) - Brock Ireland (heir)
Own a Retail Store worth at least 100,000 Simoleons
Have 3 top level employees
Have Spent 10,000* points on Retail Perks (6750)
Set #26 – Comedian - Brynn Myles (spouse)
Get to Level 10 in the Entertainer Career (Comedian)
Master the Charisma Skill (7/10)
Master the Comedy Skill
Complete the Joke Star Aspiration
Have 10 Excellent Comedy Routines
Have 3 Excellent Long Comedy Routines
Perform a Excellent Comedy Routine at a Gold Level Party 2 Times
*I changed the 15,000 to 10,000 in the rules. Fifteen thousand is just too many to be really possible in the scope of this challenge.
I will make a warning: this post is very short. I don’t take a lot of pictures, because I was really just pushing to be DONE with this generation. I was so over the Retail store thing, and wanted to move on. I still get all the goals (once dropping the points required in the rules to a reasonable level), and the heir (Claire) gets her “A”s to qualify for aging up. With that said, here’s the end of this generation:

Claire working on Whiz Kid. I don’t know what skill “family” dog training is in, but my guess is mental.. so whenever Brent is home sleeping off his latest binge of selling at the store, we spend time with Brynn on her Charisma, and the aspiration for Claire. She already has an “A”, so she could age up, but I have a feeling I’ll need time to get all the retail perk points, so I’m waiting for her birthday to age her up.

We get our comedy routines done for Brynn.

Proof that the party was, indeed, gold.

A busy store is points in the bank!
2200 perk points spent. Then a day later… 50 points spent…. only 1000 to go.

1000 points spent.. done!! Poor Brent is as “over” Retail as I am. I really don’t plan to do Retail again. Except for a bakery and a restaurant, whenever I roll for those goal sets. Not looking forward to them, though!

And.. after Brent gets home..

Claire gets that elusive 10 in Mental skill.

So we age her up.

Here’s traits I picked. Since we’re doing dogs next generation, being active seems like a good bet so she can keep up with them.

Too bad the lighting in this house stinks.. because she’s very pretty.

Brynn keeps working really hard on her Charisma…

And.. Finally. All the goals except for Claire’s high school “A” are done:
Set #16 – Retail Mogul (Get to Work) - Brock Ireland (heir)
Own a Retail Store worth at least 100,000 Simoleons
Have 3 top level employees
Have Spent 10,000* points on Retail Perks
Set #26 – Comedian - Brynn Myles (spouse)
Get to Level 10 in the Entertainer Career (Comedian)
Master the Charisma Skill
Master the Comedy Skill
Complete the Joke Star Aspiration
Have 10 Excellent Comedy Routines
Have 3 Excellent Long Comedy Routines
Perform a Excellent Comedy Routine at a Gold Level Party 2 Times
It just happens to also be Brynn and Brent’s birthdays:

They don’t look happy about being an Elder.

Finally…. what seems like ages later…

Claire comes home with her “A”…

And we age her up.

So here’s her traits (both earned and given)… and that’s the end of the generation. Some stats on Brynn and Brent:

Brent used a TON of points on sleep replacers trying to get all those perk points, which is why he’s so low.

Somehow I didn’t “max” a single skill on him. But I got close with cooking!

This gave me the “most interesting sim in the world” achievement. Which is nice.

And here’s the family funds at the end of the generation.. er beginning of the next? (Ignore the extra family member, you’ll find out about him in the next master simmer post) Per the rules, we sold the store (THANK GOD!) .. and … as a little tease before the next generation… we’re moving to a new house!
Oh, also, I’ve mostly updated my “Cheat Sheet” with crossing off stuff I’ve done so far, so it should be pretty current. I’d been being very lazy on it, and hadn’t updated it since Gen 1.
