We’ve got a good start! Already found our spouse, and at level 5 in the career… which is awesome. I don’t think we’re quite ready for the heir yet, but we have a good start on a house, and I just built a greenhouse for the garden.

“Gardening service, please. I don’t have time to do everything.”

Mom stops over to meet the wife.

Everyone seems to get along well.

And… this is what poor Blaze spends the week doing. I don’t take a whole lot of pictures of it.. because – let’s face it – it’s pretty boring.

Ariana decides to go garden in the pitch black morning-time greenhouse. Man, do I need windows!

Instead of spending money on windows.. I spend all their money and more than an hour building an empty house with a lovely glass-covered patio. Used the Island Living glass floor thingies – and this will be where the “party area” will go. After taking this picture, I realized I managed to forgot a column on the front. It’s fixed in the next photo.

Proof that the house is virtually empty. No doors for the rooms, yet, either. But at least it’s all separated out at the moment.

Our brother Trevor stops by, and he grew up cute! We spend a little time talking to him while eating breakfast.

Now. That was the end of one week… but clearly not enough for one update, because they were being very boring. So let’s take stock here real fast.

Okay, not a whole lot has changed except for the house. I think I’m going to shoot for having a baby that will grow up just at the beginning of spring again, because that works out well. And to do that, if my math is correct, I need to have the kid sometime this fall.. which is the season it just turned. That’s a little sooner than I was hoping to have the kid (I wanted to wait until we’re at level 7 in career, but we will probably get close to that, anyway. So. Onwards we go. And there should be a baby in the next week, so I *should* get enough pictures to finish this poor post.

Looks like we get to build a bar, finally. I ended up building a bowling alley bar. Might as well use the pack I bought so long ago and hardly ever use, right? Plus, it sounded like a fun thing for my future drifters to do. Anyway, here it is:

I really like how it turned out. It is uploaded under the #drifterchallenge hashtag, and it’s called Turkey Bowling Lanes.

Then, we send our heir, Blaze, through CAS – because, let’s face it, I have to look at him for the rest of the generation.

I went with the glasses he wears to bed, and since a lot of the clothes he had picked out for himself were red, I figured that might be his favorite color, so I went with it. He’s quite a handsome fellow!

He then moves out to his new lot, Umbrage Manor, and we roll for lot traits:

Ugh. Sunny aspect is what annoyed me so much last house. … And mean vibe? (And what am I supposed to do with the science lair.. lol!)

His inventory is cleared out, and here’s how he starts:

I’m going to have fun trying to get him a toilet in time! Eeeks.

After all that.. we change his aspiration, because he needs to complete the Mixology one… and we’re ready to play.

We start with harvesting everything possible in the area. Because 0 simoleons is the pits.

Oh, yeah! This area has a public bathroom! Guess the toilet won’t be an issue after all!

Blaze finishes his bathroom trip, and we get him his Culinary job.. which, thanks to his High School “A”, he gets level 3 in.

We then spend the rest of the day fishing. Mostly useless stuff, but we did fish up a voodoo doll to give us 950 simoleons, though. That’s always appreciated!

Poor Blaze spends his first day soaking wet, and the night doesn’t get any better for him when I find a nearby bench for him to sleep on.

It’s still pouring the next day, so Blaze visits the bathroom, and eats some mushrooms he found the day before.

Then, it occurs to me that because it’s pouring, he can actually take a shower, which is a huge success for him, since he’s starting to really need one.

Someone cooks baked potatoes, so we “steal” one, and, with that, our needs are full. Time to start looking for spouses.

The first young adult I find is this gal. I’m sure she would bring nice genetics in, but I’m not sure about her traits.

We keep looking.

It’s Monday, and he has to go to work soon, but on his way, I have him go pay his 161 simoleon bills. He manages to find the only mud puddle in the area, though, so he’ll be going to work filthy.

I also have him plant the beginnings of his garden in the middle of the night when he gets home from work – but it’s ok, because he wasn’t really tired yet. Back to a night on the local bench, and another day has passed.

We find another young adult, who is very pretty.. and Mom even seems to like her.

But, again, I’m not sure about her traits.

Blaze somehow gets past my iron will control, and buys himself a cupcake, but can’t finish it because he ends up face first into the sidewalk. Serves him right.

After a nap, I have him eat a much healthier Grilled Fruit meal – which also helps his Cooking out, which he needs for a promotion.

I guess being a Klepto isn’t a horrible thing – at least he keeps stealing books that he can read for fun!

A gorgeous day for fishing.. although I’m not sure Blaze agrees with me.

Since we have money in the bank (more than needed for traveling, that’s for sure).. we send him to the new bar. We try to get him to tend bar, but he keeps route failing, so eventually I give up and just start looking at the bar patrons. Unfortunately, it’s Ghost Night, so not many of them are suitable.

We do, however, run into this “bar regular” (literally, that’s her job. pretty sure she’ll lose it if we marry her, though) named Ariana, who seems to like us.. and has some nice traits.

The next day, I finally get around to spending some of Blaze’s hard-earned money, and we buy him the bar he needs for his aspiration, and the start of a kitchen. He gets going on his Mixology, and I get him up to promotion level, which is awesome.

I do also buy him a bed – a decent one – and he gets his first good night’s sleep since he took over as Heir. Poor guy. It’s over halfway through the first week by this point!

I take him out for Love Day, and invite Ariana along.. but she ditches him as soon as they get to the restaurant. So I wander around looking for other options.. and we find this pretty girl.

… But again, I don’t like her traits near as much as I like Ariana’s.

The next day, it’s POURING – again…. so he can’t eat from the fridge because it’s broken. Again. (Or still??) .. So I buy him some walls.. and a real bathroom so he can stop running across the road to the public one.

Mom stops by before we head off to work, and she’s overjoyed that her son is doing so well. We notice that she’s turned grey since we left, but that’s the way time goes by. Blaze leaves for work…

.. and mom decides to clean house. I’m ok with this.

She then finds the nearest mud puddle and has some fun before deciding it’s past time to go home.

Well, it’s not Love Day anymore… but with having a “real” house now, we invite Ariana over to see whether she likes us “that way” or not.

.. Um, sorry, Mom.. we’re busy.

First kiss.. and a “yes” to being our girlfriend… I really like this girl. Blaze seems to agree with me.

I send them to the shower to get some good “clean” fun. (sorry, I had to…)

And then, just for the heck of it, and just before Blaze has to work – we propose. I actually put some thought into letting this be the last picture of the update, and leave you guys with a cliff-hanger, but I just couldn’t be that mean.

She agrees! Which just points to the fact that she was the “Right” choice – the courtship went by pretty much perfectly. (If you don’t count getting stood up on Love Day at the restaurant.)

Blaze clearly approves of the choice. I love his eyebrow in this picture.

I hurry up and get them married, and move her in. What a smile on her face! She comes with 20k but we’re good and cheat it all away.

Anyway, here’s her traits and aspiration. She should be a great spouse!

Blaze heads off for work, and Ariana meets our teenaged brother, Cayden, and has a short chat.

… Then she decides to read our ill-gotten books before bed, making herself at home.

This is where I leave you, because it’s now Monday.. which means that I went a whole day past where I was supposed to stop, but I was having so much fun! I can’t wait until Friday when I get to play some more!

So, all I have left to do is finish the generation! That means 7 days to go of just watching my sims do their stuff.

We start.. with Karson being a “good” ghost and not breaking the plumbing. For a change.

Zara working out…

While Blaze naps in the hot tub. Again.

Cassidy is trying to max fitness, while Cayden tries to distract her…

And Keon is getting into trouble by cooking on the grill while chatting with Trevor. At least he didn’t burn down the house.

We get the kids all in bed.. and they get autonomously flirty.. so I let them woohoo. Luckily it doesn’t kill Keon, or I would have felt really bad.

Blaze comes home very tense.. and finds the best place to work out his tension.

He then tries out the Wellness skill. Briefly.

Zara is constantly attacking this poor bear. I feel bad for him!

Blaze is in another mood… but at least the rest of the family seems to be behaving.

Cassidy joins Blaze in some relaxation techniques.

Wow, the entire family in one place at one time. I’m impressed.

Trevor using the pool. I swear, there’s always someone in a swimsuit in this house.

Blaze tries working out. Spoiler: he doesn’t do all that well.. but he does get to Fitness level 3.

Well, if you have to go, Keon, at least you’re doing it surrounded by family.

His death hits the family hard, though…. and I’ll definitely miss him, too. He was a great spouse and dad!

Everyone.. except Zara.. is sound asleep.

… but at least she’s doing homework. Good girl.

Winterfest is the day after Keon dies. I feel so bad for the family, since it has to be a miserable holiday. I try to make the best of it, though.

Grand breakfast.. but the kids don’t seem to be all that interested in sitting at the table. Notice all the mopey faces.

Opening presents. Everyone seems to be pretty happy with what they get – except Trevor. You can see the disgust on his face.. but I’m not sure why, he got a Future Cube. I put out most the presents for them to use, but nobody ever does. Typical.

Brynlee stops over.. and I notice that Cassidy can negotiate for a bonus.. which she does successfully.

Since it’s Winterfest, I send the whole family out to volunteer, thinking that I might get Blaze’s empathy trait up.

… What I get is reputation for Cassidy.

Zara finds a way to skip the second volunteering session… and I quickly decide it will be too much trouble to get Blaze’s trait up, so this is the last time they volunteer.

Father Winter stops by.. only to gorge himself on spoiled breakfast. Yum?

I forget what the present was, but at least she got one.

If you look closely, you’ll notice that poor Cassidy is sick. I order her some medicine, and she’s all better in a hurry. I didn’t want anyone else getting all spotty.

Welcome back, Keon!!

The kids all get home from school.

.. And Cayden manages to get an A at the very last possible moment.

Because today, there’s a cake waiting for him.

Vampire? Hm. Not a productive aspiration, there, Cayden.

But he’s definitely the nicest-looking of the kids so far, in my opinion.

Playing with the last Child in the house. He won’t age up before the twins do, so we’ll have to wait to see what he looks like when we’re in the next house.

It’s “Night on the Town”.. so I send the whole family out to eat.

Blaze seems to be particularly full of himself on this evening.

And poor Cayden doesn’t make it through the dinner without passing out.

Dinner arrives.. and everyone gets heart bubbles above their head about the food, so I guess the salad and water was good?

… While Cayden chooses to pick his up and eat it standing. Weird kid.

When we get home, Zara is enraged and very sleepy.. but I’m still worried about her, and try to talk her out of her mood. It doesn’t work, though, and she ends up going to bed ticked off.. but survives.

Trevor loves mommy. So cute.

The next day, I manage to get Cassidy through my last goal for her… (personal goal, not house goal..)

.. And we max fitness. Finally. And with only moments to spare.

… Because it’s the twins’ birthday.

.. Oh… boy. What a set of traits. I’m sorta afraid to find out what this kid gets to do next house!

Time for posting yesterday’s play session, since it was Monday.

I start the week out with trying to max Wellness for our goals.

And… success! One more goal complete.

Now let’s play “watch how long it takes for someone to pick up the sippy cup.”

Oh, yeah, there’s another skill maxed. Woohoo.

This family.. LOVES.. the pool.

Um… thanks for doing your homework.. but please don’t wake your brother?

Sippy cup count: 2. And they’re still there. Cassidy is upgrading the sink.. and Zara is actually cleaning. No idea what Keon is doing.

… Still there. I love Cayden’s face in this one. He really hates messes.

Trying to get Blaze’s skills up so he can get an “A”. For some reason, the game is just not cooperating.

Sure, beat up the bear. Poor thing!

Look closely. Sippy cups STILL there. While Blaze is washing his bowl as if nothing is wrong.

Trevor.. that face.. gosh, he’s so cute. Despite the fact he’s filthy.

Cassidy keeps autonomously painting. I guess it’s ok, but I don’t really need the money.

Another spar for work. This time Keon doesn’t do as badly, despite the fact he’s now an elder.

… Not a particularly appropriate place to teach him to talk, there, Keon. Right in the puddle.

Blaze comes home enraged, and, worried about him, I have Cassidy get him to work out his frustrations. Literally.

Clearly one run wasn’t enough….

Then I notice that Zara is Mortified, and needs to go for a run too.

… Then it starts snowing. Could things get any weirder?

Blaze zonks out. Thank goodness this isn’t an ISBI.. and Zara is now filthy from her run. Six sims and one bathroom is starting to cause problems.

Instead of taking a bath, both teens decide to take a nap in the hot tub. I leave them, since both are pretty miserable.

I keep forgetting Trevor is wild. Until moments like these. Somehow I don’t think right past the military honors is the best place to go streaking, though.. LOL.

Really, Blaze? .. Please don’t start a fire…

*cuddles the cute toddler* .. Holy crap he’s really just adorable.

Zara was clearly swimming. This family seems to be in their swimsuits at least half the time.

Blaze survives. His food is “poor” though. Why didn’t he just get something out of the fridge? Who knows.

We’ve been invaded!! (In other words, it’s harvestfest.)

She heads to the bathroom.. only to bladder fail and go for a bath. Yeah. The one bathroom thing is getting old. But I don’t really have room to put it in the house. So they’ll have to suffer.

AWWW… Blaze reads to his little brother.

..Then Zara plays with him. At least the teens are finally not miserable.

The end of fall, it’s cold outside.. and Trevor is nekkid by the pool. Sigh.

Blaze shows off some pictures, and Zara listens intently. They both grew up so cute.

… Someone (Blaze) is in the pool again. Which makes him go to school in his swim trunks.

Now, see, Cayden has the right idea. Eat before school, not swim.

Keon is really such a good Dad. I find him taking care of Trevor all the time.

… This looks familiar. Although it was Blaze on the floor yesterday. And yes, Blaze is AGAIN in a mood that makes me send him out running. Where he pulls yet another muscle and I can’t get him to do anything else for the rest of the day.

However, it’s now a moot point, because he’s at least got his A.

Blaze asking for advice, while mom plays with the clay. If you look closely, you can see Trevor using his potty all by himself like a big boy.

Trick-or-treaters keep showing up for Spooky Day, so Cassidy gives them treats.

Keon seems to like the sauna. Nobody else uses it.

Zara finally decides not to take her anger out on the poor bear, and finally finds the spar dummy.

Blaze plays with Trevor.. and Cassidy just stands around doing nothing.

Blaze then finds the trainer, as well.

Happy Birthday, Trevor!

Self-Assured. That’s not too bad.

.. And just look at that smirk. He’s gonna be a cutie.

I update the toddler’s room to make a room for Zara, as the only girl.. and I add a computer to the mix.

…That Keon immediately appropriates.

..Which reminds me to check the value. Complete!

Karson visits again, and I notice Keon is REALLY skinny in the background. (He’s also playing with the dollhouse … by himself. What..?)

Blaze loses bladder control.. darn that line for the bathroom. *frown* They’ll survive.

Cassidy’s fun is low, and the kids are so cute.. I couldn’t help it. We tried for another baby.

And…. back to the Charisma grind. One more point until we hit the top of the skill, and she’ll be due for a promotion. Which will definitely help on the money issue. They always seem to be just scraping by.

The rest of the family.. is taking care of themselves. Just like they’re supposed to.

Success! Baby on the way. Crossing our fingers that it’s not twins.

Keon, dork that he is.. is super excited about a baby.

Whew. He’s back under control.

The next day, we start off with a promotion.

… Which finishes our medal collection. Also, first time I’ve maxed that career, so that’s cool.

Then, unexpectedly..

.. We get this while cooking dinner. Nice.

Keon, for being so excited, completely naps through the birth of their next kid.

Another son, Trevor. This puts us at four kids, and I think I’m done with kids. I have no place else to put them in this house.

Keon is at like 7 athletic skill now from all his swimming and working out. Fairly impressive for an uncontrollable sim.

I do some house updating. And finally paint the rest of the walls.

We add a sauna and a hot tub, as planned.

And Cassidy immediately finds the new TV.

Dad shows up in a good mood for a while.

Cayden goes to chat with his dad.. while Keon is .. again.. working out.

Oh my gosh. I LOVE this kid. That FACE!!! Please grow up well!?

Okay, I can deal with that.

Cute, but not as cute as he was as a toddler. Still say Cassidy and Keon make really cute kids, though.

Updating the kid’s rooms.

Toddler room got shrunk. Also: I’m SO very glad Cayden is grown up now.. because him waking up Blaze and Zara EVERY night had gotten beyond old.

It’s summer fest. So I buy them a barbeque. Although I may not let them keep it once we have teens in the house. Dangerous, you know.

Another cutie! I just can’t even! And the new hairstyle is so hilarious on a toddler. I forgot they gave it to toddlers, too.

Cayden, that’s not how you sleep in a bed. That’s called napping, and is not useful. The constant energized moodlet in this house can be very annoying, I often have to put the kids “to bed” with Cassidy instead of letting them just nap. This is also when I notice the tub is broken, hence Zara in the background being stinky.

… I didn’t buy the hot tub for that, Blaze.

Finally, everyone is going to bed.

The next morning. Interesting place to eat, Trevor.

Welcome to part two of that week of Ramblers play. There were too many pictures for one post. So I have an extra post. And it’s Monday, so that means it’s time to post this!

Cassidy seems to be chained to this mirror lately. And Keon found the workout equipment again.

So far, so good. Now back to playing.

Blaze immediately finds the lump of clay.. and finally someone makes something out of it.

We let Brynlee in, but she seems annoyed that she was left to stand there for so long.

She ends up playing chess (or just chatting, not sure which) with Keon while Cassidy sleeps.

Keon stares blankly at the bookshelf. You know, you could actually read something for more than five minutes…

Zara decides to make a mess… while Keon busies himself with the clay.

Aha.. so that’s where Brynlee went. Chatting with her nephew.

Dinner time. Zara foregoes this and is in the bathroom instead.

… What mess certainly wasn’t there for very long. Thanks, Keon.

Ha. The clay both got turned into stuff. Don’t think I’ve seen the one on the right before.

Cassidy is VERY pregnant. And we need money in a bad way. So we’re painting.

Keon takes a midnight swim. This family is one of the first families I’ve had who actually uses a pool I gave them.

First day of school! …. Blaze.. what are you WEARING?!

Keon working on his Wellness skill. Least someone is. Cassidy never has time! (I’m actually a little concerned whether I’ll have time to get everything done…)

I add a dollhouse, and Zara finds it almost immediately.

A little montage. Cassidy had to spar for work… and it seemed a little dangerous while pregnant.

Welcome baby boy, Cayden.

I then take a moment to spend what little money we have on the house. Because I had this sunroom idea that seemed to fit in with the theme of the house. No money for windows.. but you get the idea.

Here’s where we are value wise. 20k to go.

Cassidy cleaning house. Someone always seems to be cleaning in this household. Plus, it’s Springfest.. so it counts for the holiday.

Blaze finds the dollhouse, too. While Cassidy spends HOURS talking to herself in a mirror. Charisma is once again needed for her promotion. And since we need to be making money, getting Charisma up seems like a good idea.

Springfest, so Flower Bunny shows up. Blaze takes advantage of his mom not paying attention to make a mess.

Keon… you know that’s there for the kids, right? … Keon?

There. That’s better. You supervise. (Oh, and clearly he’s been in the pool again recently. He’s always in his swim trunks.)

Cassidy is still.. yes.. talking to herself. Keon cleans up, and the kids chat. They’re really close friends, because they spend a lot of time together.

I just love this family. They’re so cute together. Always socializing.

… And we’re no where close. So we keep going.

Keon is taking care of Zara again. Thankfully. Someone needs to! Since I’m aiming for Top Notch Toddler with Blaze, and that will take all of Cassidy’s time this week.

Potty training.. (And somehow … through this whole week.. Blaze is the LEAST “fussy” toddler I’ve ever had with that trait. He’s so easy to deal with, and hardly EVER Fussy.)

Reading Blaze to sleep … while Dad haunts and cleans the house. Or, at least the dishes.

… But he broke the sink. And there’s other stuff to clean. (How long has it been since that sink was cleaned????)

Dinner time! The twins are SO cute, I can’t get over it!

Hey, Brynlee, instead of just chatting with Zara, how about you change her diaper or give her a bath? … Or wash the dishes?

.. One of the few times this play-week that I have time to work on house goals. We don’t get very far.

It’s Winterfest! I drag Keon into helping decorate.

Almost Tofu Turkey time. (Yum??) Blaze looks completely confused. “How is that even called Turkey, mom?”

Presents for all! Cassidy gets pet poop… (LOL), both kids get lumps of clay, and .. I forgot what Keon got. But it wasn’t useful.

Yay! Someone’s cleaning while I work on Blaze’s skills some more! (Hey, that potty needs cleaning too, while you’re at it, Keon..)

Father Winter gives Cassidy… upgrade parts. Woo. I think. Hey Keon, you could ask for your own present instead of standing around looking jealous. But NOO… that’s not an autonomous action!

… Neither’s that. But it’s time for a brother or sister!

I don’t take Cassidy’s pregnancy test, since the kids are still toddlers. We’ll let them find out naturally.

.. There’s no streamers, but the notification of baby incoming just popped up!

Finishing getting Zara to Happy Toddler with a level three in all skills. Blaze, however…

… Rolled Klepto. *facepalm* .. but at least he got Top Notch Toddler. I think that’s the best result I’ve ever gotten from uncontrollable toddler twins…

Blaze impersonates a Vampire while getting into bed. (Ok, so he’s not.. but it looks like it.) This is the new room I added on… with what little funds we have. Since there’s another baby(S) incoming, I figure I don’t want to sell the toddler stuff. It’s not like I have the extra money to support it. I actually remembered to put a roof on the addition, too. YAY!

Happy Birthday… with a “healthy” cake. (Yum?) .. And who put the clay on the table. That’s for food, you silly.

Zara rolls glutton. I guess that’s better than Klepto. Too bad she’s not the heir.

And she manages to snag some cake before I can get rid of it. Sneaky little Sim. Although I guess it’s okay, since it’s a “healthy” cake.

KEON! Why are you peeing on the floor??? Oh, I forgot to mention. They have a new bed. (As you probably noticed earlier.)

… While Cassidy works towards her next promotion. She’s needed two Charisma points for almost the entire week, but Blaze’s skills took priority. And it paid off! (So happy about Top Notch Toddler!)

So.. here we go again. Apparently I have a bunch of pictures from the last time I played, but never published them… so here they are. (And turns out it’s a whole week worth of play, so we’ll call it a post… New stuff will come next post.)

Flea Market shows up, so we go and see what there is. Not much, but we bought something anyway.

The money is finally paying off. We’re starting to have enough stuff to really live “well”. Now we just need walls.

A big thunderstorm prompts me to put up some walls. To keep them safe, you know.

They seem to enjoy having a “real” house.

Dad stops over.. so we tell him the big news. We’re expecting! The timer to the end of the generation has officially started.

Ohhhh nooo. Do you see what I see?? … Twins. Welcome Blaze (the heir) and his sister, Zara.

Keon turns out to be a GREAT dad. He was a big help when they were babies, and does most of the care of Zara, while we concentrate on teaching Blaze his skills.

… Doesn’t seem too bad.

Then, Cassidy gets her makeover.

I did change her hair to be more with the healthy, fit theme. And all her clothes were changed. She also had grey eyebrows.. and it was annoying me, so I changed them to match. She’s gorgeous!

Then, we check on her inventory, sell everything, get rid of our money.. and check her stats panels.

Lastly, I roll for lot traits.

And.. with that.. we’re ready to play!

Since this is the second house in this neighborhood, things are up to harvest, which is a big help.

After harvesting, we have enough for the all-important toilet.

We find mom walking around, and she cheers on our house 10 attempts.

… Then shortly after she leaves, I get this notice. Darn. RIP Eva!

I finally decide to get Cassidy a job. I picked Military because she can work on fitness and work from home. Seems like something she’d be into.

Her first job task: go jogging. So we get that done.

Her lot contents as she heads to her first day at work. She’s not doing too bad.

Working on wellness. Going to be spending a lot of time doing this in this house. Meanwhile, I’ve been watching for Young Adult males… unsuccessfully, I might add. And starting to get a little worried I’ll have to go with an adult.

Then.. I spot two of them, at the same time. We meet both, and get started on finding out their traits. One leaves, but it’s the other I’m more interested in, anyway.

His name is Keon, and he’s got pretty good traits.. so we start the romance train.

So far, we’ve been feasting on strawberries for food.

After she heads to work, Keon wakes up and I finally get a good look at him without his hat. He’s cute!

After work, Cassidy meets up with Dad. I find it funny that I was so worried about him dying before finishing his career, and he’s now lived past his wife.

We have to buy a cooler for Keon, since feeding him strawberries is out.

Shortly after, I’m able to afford a kitchen of sorts and start working on her cooking skill for the house goals.

We get invited to the spice festival, and I take advantage of it to harvest and sell the produce from there. I keep waffling about starting a garden, but I think I’ve finally decided not to.

Selling all the stuff from collection runs, plus our promotions, and we have the beginnings of a living room. Both immediately start with the book reading/leaving books everywhere, which will annoy me, but I’ll deal with it.
