At some point in the week, I may do a building stream instead of the listed stream because I have a ton of shell challenges on my list…. (The other option is a bonus stream at some point this week, but we’ll see.)
Also, will be working to get back to my other blog stories this week because I REALLY miss my Decades challenges, and they’re next after this rotation.
“One Sim” will remain a once a day posting thing, and I have a ton of fun things planned story-wise for upcoming days and weeks. I will continue to allow game play happenings to affect the story, but I definitely have some plans that will be happening to Jazmyn’s story-line whether or not anything happens to point to it in game play.

New Challenge Alert! Suggested by @micheleblue14 ! The house is on my gallery titled Junk House 2.0 (less junky version called Junk House) Upload using #onesim Due: June 16th for tours on my twitch channel at 5PM EST. No CC please.

Tonight was shell tours for Humpty Dumpty, and I have to say, you all really rose to the occasion. This was NOT an easy shell, so feel very proud of yourself if you even attempted it. I am absolutely blown away with all the amazing builds you did!!
For those who are curious, I do have the nightmare of a shell that this challenge came from on the gallery (search #itshellchallenge1). Feel free to download it and try your hand at the original shell! Anyone who completes a build on ANY of my shells after the “due date” can stop by my stream anytime and I will gladly tour your build for free live on stream. (So If you’ve been looking at any of my old challenges, or didn’t get done in time, feel free to give them a try!)
One last note on Humpty Dumpty: I also uploaded what I did with the original shell as a furnished house. It’s such a cool house, feel free to download! (under #thrallshell3)
And now for something completely new: I also uploaded the next shell challenge tonight: Moving Walls.

I hope this one isn’t as tough, but I still wanted it to stretch creative muscles. This is more of a build puzzle than a “put the pieces together” puzzle, so this is a great time to practice your building skills. Even better – there is no wrong way to put this one together. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!
So, I had a concept for a shell challenge come to me one night while trying to sleep, and I planned on doing it as my next shell challenge, but later, it occurred to me that not everyone is going to want to try it (because it is rather evil). So I made a second shell challenge that is just your “standard” monthly shell challenge. Posting both here (and on the sims forums) with rules and pictures of the shells in question. Hope to see some good submissions!
Full Rules:
Due before tours Sunday January 31st at 4PM EST on my twitch channel (IllusoryThrall). Also, if you have any questions, feel free to comment on this page, or on the sims forums in the topic I made for my shell challenges (here).
Download the shell here: https://ea.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-4/pc/gallery/D834CAF44CA211EB804DD434B4652DF6

An advanced shell challenge. Standard shell rules with a major twist: you can only use each item ONCE. That means any item – column, window, door, chair, toilet, etc. Whether you then go for a color explosion or actually try to make a cohesive, matching house is up to you.
Full Rules:
Due February 13th by 4PM when I will stream tours on my twitch (IllusoryThrall). Giving extra time for this one, because it’s not going to be an easy challenge. Enjoy! Post with the tag #oneofeachshell Also, if you have any questions, feel free to comment on this page, or on the sims forums in the topic I made for my shell challenges (here).

So, I built a shell on my twitch stream and am opening it up for everyone to do. It’s a base game shell, and is on a 50 by 50 lot. I used Oakenstead in Willow Creek.
Rules: No changing the floorplan or outside shell of house. (terrain and landscaping is fine) No pack or budget restrictions, and using different fences or stairs inside is ok. Floors, walls, and interior colors are your choice. Changing Room platform heights is okay, but changing room heights is not (it’ll mess up the roof). Using a different style fireplace is also fine, but keep a fireplace at the locations where I placed one. Leave all doors and windows. Lighting is placed just to let you see what you’re doing, feel free to add or delete any lights. I will allow swapping out a window for a door in the back of the house if you choose to add a veranda or patio out back. No CC, but use of mods and cheats (TOOL mod, red shelf, move objects, debug, that sort of thing) to build is okay.
How to play:
1. Search out the hashtag of #2020AdventManor on the gallery, or under my gallery ID Wyldhawke.
2. Turn on the move objects cheat (bb.moveobjects on)
3. Download the 2020 Advent Manor Shell and place on a lot in any world you want.
4. Starting Dec 1, furnish one room per day until Dec 25. (There are 25 rooms not including the kitchen pantry.)
5. After December 25th, finish your build off with terrain paints and landscaping.
6. Upload your build to the Gallery with the hashtag of #2020AdventManor by December 31st. (Absolutely last moment to upload is January 1st at 4PM EST.)
7. I will tour builds on Friday Jan 1 starting at 4 pm EST on my twitch channel (IllusoryThrall). I will also post some highlight photos to my blog for those who are not into watching twitch streams.
I’m not 100% sure it needs move objects to place, but some of the pillars might disappear without it. Feel free to ask me any questions you have, this is the first shell I’ve done, so I’m just playing this by ear. I also posted this to the sims 4 forums at https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/984412/illusorythralls-2020-advent-manor-shell-challenge/p1, so that’s a good place to ask questions. If I have enough entries, I’ll continue tours at the same time on Saturday, but I’m not expecting it to be a problem.

Some tips: I designed it to have a butler suite in the front right of the build, just behind the drive through “carport”. The small room upstairs was for a linen closet, and there was also room for a sauna and a fitness room upstairs. The left area of the upstairs was for a master bedroom and bathroom. The sunken area by the room I meant for a kitchen is a “keeping room” (a living-room type area where you can gather socially to keep the cook company, apparently), and both the “great room” and the “foyer” are both open to the second floor. Obviously, all room choices are up to your discretion, there’s no need to use the room for what it was designed for!
Above anything else, have fun with this build!
