When I wrote my #100daycreativity challenge, I wrote it for me to play. So it only makes sense that I show off what I’ve done while playing along. The best way I’ve found to get better at something is doing it… And CAS is my worst area, so that’s why I included both CAS and my favorite thing – building – in the challenge. Eventually, I plan to get through all 100 builds and sims. Wish me luck…

I had so much fun with this sim and her home. I think she’s gorgeous. I tried very hard to copy the right features for her from photos. Also, the build is one of my top favorites of my builds – it’s simply beautiful. I had a really hard time with it until the Oasis kit came out.. and then it was easy. Clearly I was waiting for that kit, and didn’t even know it!

9. Librarian/bookworm
This sim was made to go with the Day 9 house (which was based on both the Day 9 prompt and the #bns144 (Build and Share 144 – A Winter Festival Miracle) (below). However, it took me a long time to get around to making the sim. Well, she’s there now!

Again, this build I did for two challenges. One, my 100daycreativity, and two, this is my submission for #bns144 (Build and Share 144 – A Winter Festival Miracle)

I LOVE this build. I originally started a different B & B for this build (look for my Lighthouse Cove B&B) – but it was clear I wasn’t going to be able to hit the required budget goal, so I literally started over. I was never sorry, because it turned out beautifully.
Valentine’s Day/date night

This couple was created from several prompts, and are really cute. I’m including both prompts so you can see what they are.

Not much to say about this guy other than that I had fun with him. He’s colorful, he’s loud, and he’s ready to party!

This “day” has been sitting in my “to publish” list since before today’s platform update was announced. I hadn’t gotten around to publishing it .. and then the new pack and patch were announced, and all I could think was how much better the house would be if I updated it with platforms. So I put this on the back burner, and worked on later builds. So poor Han-Gyeol Park has been uploaded and waiting for his day in the spotlight for quite a while. Story-wise, all he wants is to get into a K-Pop band, or make it big on his own, and to that end, he left home early to try to get to his goals.

Meet Bert. From my description: “Known as “Strange Bert” to those around StrangerVille, he lives in the trailer park and avoids human contact if at all possible. No one knows what exactly he does in his mismatched, dingy trailer, but they avoid him all the same. His only company is his tubby, troublesome cat, Taco. It’s tough being different!” This guy is a character, and, as “easy” as his house was to make, there was something about it that bothered me. When I was going through pictures, I realized that I had forgotten Bert’s glasses on his athletic outfit.. which was bad. There’s no way he could have seen without them. So I loaded up my game to fix them.. and three hours later.. I still hadn’t gotten around to it. My hubby finally put his finger on what the house build was missing…. Bert’s pride and joy. The only thing he ever spent any money on (Other than his cowboy boots). I’ll let you scroll down to find out what that was.
Weird Sim/Mismatched House

This was a fun theme. I had a little backstory in mind when I made my alien girl – which you can see in the screenshot of the gallery upload. Basically, I decided she had crash landed a spaceship here, and really only wanted to be able to fit in – but kept going about things the wrong way. She ends up seeing herself as more human than alien, which is why she avoids the alien “uniform” when out of disguise. Her disguise is far from flawless, too, because she’s trying so very hard to fit in, but just doesn’t know how.

It took me quite a bit to decide on a cartoon that I actually watched and/or connected with as a kid, because to be honest, I wasn’t really allowed to watch cartoons. So what I did see wasn’t until college or was at a friend’s house, so I was never really able to get invested into any cartoon. I did finally settle on Scooby-Doo, and then I really sat down with some photos of the characters and made them – at least facially – as closely as I could. Clothes was a bit harder, but I did really make an effort to get it at least in the same fashion family as what they wore. They’re all teens, because that’s what they are in the show, and I tried to pick appropriate traits. Scooby was the hardest to make, mostly because I actually painted him to match his markings, and I had to find photos that showed all sides online.
