This was a fun theme. I had a little backstory in mind when I made my alien girl – which you can see in the screenshot of the gallery upload. Basically, I decided she had crash landed a spaceship here, and really only wanted to be able to fit in – but kept going about things the wrong way. She ends up seeing herself as more human than alien, which is why she avoids the alien “uniform” when out of disguise. Her disguise is far from flawless, too, because she’s trying so very hard to fit in, but just doesn’t know how.

Alien

  • Sim Creation: Create an alien Sim and their disguise. If you don’t have Get to Work, make an alien-looking Sim.
  • For the Build: Make them an alien-themed home base somewhere in the Sim world other than on Sixam. Use debug cheats to get to the alien plants and decor.

I absolutely adore her non-disguise outfits. I felt she would feel free to adopt her own style, and her cheerful smiles while I took her outfit screenshots only made me like her more.

Her disguise is adorably awkward. She tries so very hard to fit in, but just doesn’t really “get” the whole human fashion thing. I feel she actually spends very little time in disguise, just when she’s out and about in the world and feeling particularly out of place.

For this build, I had no clear idea when I started building… and then after a couple hours of building on stream and seriously not liking what I was coming up with, I bulldozed it after getting offline and just started over. I had a vague idea of observatory towers, and rounded green decks.. which I will say, I’m totally not great with rounded shapes. So I spent hours messing around with things until I had a shell I sorta liked. From there, decor and furnishings took me ages. I had to look up tutorials for the landscaping, because I really am terrible at it. I’m not sure the landscaping is any better after the tutorials, but maybe practice will help! I am a 47 year old American wife, mother, and gamer. I’ve lived in the Midwest most of my life, and enjoy it for the changing seasons. My favorite movie is Labyrinth, my favorite game is Sims 4, and I have tattoos related to both. My favorite colors are purple, red, and green.
